 | | harrylime: Huuuh ! lol ..
I disagree with everything stated above ..
Europe was the centre of the universe in the 19th century.. And England owned the universe in the 19th century. Nuff said. To argue otherwise is just silly. |
|
Dec-08-11 | | TheFocus: <harry> Then you deny facts. Is that the same England that lost TWO wars against us? Thought so. |

 | | harrylime: 'troop movements by train' .. lol
Where did trains and railways come from ?
So all this 'new' technology in warfare in America .. whilst Europe was fast asleep lol I think you guys need to read up on 19th century history . America was a sideshow. An irrevelence. America became RELEVENT in the 20th century.... |

Dec-09-11 | | brankat: <jessicafischerqueen> Hi Jess! I just posted the PGN of the game I had completed yesterday. For Your viewing pleasure :-) |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Good work <branko> I will have time to investigate it tomorrow, being Saturday morning. I will also go through the game my friend <Harry> posted in here last week. Sadly, I'm not a good analyst, but that won't stop me from posting a few FENS. I know how to do that.
NOT SO FUN FACT: I manually created FEN strings for over two years until I accidentally saw <hms123> telling someone how to just copy and paste FENS from your chess interface. I was so embarrassed I never mentioned it until today. I probably wasted six weeks of woman hours because of this. |

Inspired by your latest televisual cue, I have just finished downloading every single "Honeymooners" and "Phil Silvers Show" episodes.> Considering that the Honeymooners was filmed before a live audience, the mastery of the players is especially astonishing. My favorite is Ralph going to the quiz show. He knows every song ever written and practises with Ed at the piano. Carney is actually playing the piano in that skit. He was a fine piano player. Phantastic Phactoid - A tourist wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Phil Silvers was arrested in Tibet. Silvers was the Dalai Lama's twin brother. You heard it hear first. Well, if you read out loud you heard it. |

Dec-09-11 | | Thanh Phan: <QUESTION: What do you think of the new Channel Design?> I don't like it as much because it tries to compress too much onto a page that becomes more like a social version then a video site The shown subscriptions Home page has the videos stacked like cookies and takes a bit too much scrolling to view-all compared to the prior way of listing subscription activity +For your reasons also hard to find info
1.My channel visit count
2. My list of subscribers
3. My list of friends
4. My list of subscriptions
A bit more advanced then needed, newer types not used to Google+ way which is fast becoming the owner and committee version of all social sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube Maybe over harsh yet it conveys what I and others have said or seen in some chats |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Harry> here is your game- Black's move in this position is terrible-
 click for larger view 18...Ng8?
click for larger viewPassive and too slow, and what is the big idea behind it? Just hands white the permanent initiative. Rather he should trade off your Knight on d5 and let you take back with your pawn, this will take the dynamism out of White's potential attack. In this position, an even more pointless move by black- he's playing without any plan here- click for larger view20...Kh7?
click for larger viewAnd here, you prove Blacks waste of tempo when he moves his Knight back to where it should have stayed in the first place- click for larger view22...Nf6
click for larger viewBlack's repetition with the Queen in the middle game just shows he'd be happy to get out with a draw, maybe he had a party to go to or he suddenly realized he doesn't know how to play chess. Embarrassing. He wants to move his Knight f6 to the hole on e4. White to move now and Black is trussed up like a Turkey, so a visually pleasing finish by you= click for larger view37.Qxf6! Although Rxg7 wins massively as well
click for larger viewSo a crushing win by you, congratulations- you showed this guy a chess lesson or three. He was overmatched. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <branko> you just right click on the position you want to copy on your chess interface. Then go to a CG.com kibbutz box and right click again, select "paste" and the FEN appears. If you don't use a chess interface, here's a free and easy to use one: http://www.babaschess.net/
With babas chess, you just save a PGN on your computer somewhere. Then click on "import PGN" on the babas interface, and you can play through the game on the electronic board, and at any position you can export a FEN of it just by copy and paste. Right click over the position on the board- select "copy" and then right click over a CG.com Kibbutz box, select "paste." Who knew?
Not me for two years. |
