Sam and Max at Bosco's Inconvenience Store:
Sam: We'd like to patronize your store.
Max: And by "patronize" he doesn't mean patronize you. We probably will patronize you but that's not what he means. Bosco: I know what he means! Stop patronizing me!
Can't get enough of this snappy dialogue. |

| Apr-10-12 | | Benzol: <Jess> I've been away for a wee while. What's happened to Sangeeta? She seems to have gone MIA. |
|
Apr-10-12
 | | chancho: <Benzol> She seems to be mostly posting her photos or talking with friends in her google page. https://plus.google.com/11091470733... |
|
| Apr-10-12 | | Benzol: <chancho> Thanks for the info. Glad to see she's OK. She probably got browned off with all the BS at the site. |

| Apr-10-12 | | Alien Math: 4 'Critical' Fixes Included in Microsoft's April Security Update | http://mcpmag.com/articles/2012/04/... Six bulletins patching 11 flaws is the order for this month's Microsoft update. Four of the six fixes have been categorized as "critical" -- Microsoft's most severe level.Microsoft defines a critical security issue as "a vulnerability whose exploitation could allow the propagation of an Internet worm without user action." Along with Microsoft's monthly update, it is worth noting that Adobe has released its next security update for both its Acrobat and Reader products, which can be found here. http://www.adobe.com/support/securi... |

 | | SwitchingQuylthulg: <Deffi>'s absence almost certainly has nothing to do with any fighting here at CG - between work, hobbies and private life (I think her daughter's fifth birthday is this week!) she's always had an incredibly busy schedule, and now that photography's taking up more and more of her time she simply doesn't have any left for chess. She's been much less active at other chess sites as well. |
|
| Apr-11-12 | | dakgootje: She is way too talented for the amount of time there is in a day ;) |

| Apr-11-12 | | Travis Bickle: Jess I hope your computer troubles are over. |

| Apr-11-12 | | playground player: <Jessicafischerqueen> <Mrs. PGP> and I searched all over the Internet but couldn't find anything on Vancouver's posted <Well-Being Zones>. Buffoonery like that really should become famous all over the world. The actions of these aspiring micro-managers of the human race would be (as Tony Vincenzo from <Kolchak: The Night Stalker> would say) bone-ticklingly hilarious--except for the fact that those persons are dead serious about thinking they can coerce perfection out of their fellow citizens. Forsooth, they're more than serious: they're quite mad. I wonder if the kooks running Vancouver just snuck those signs onto the street--and an ordinance into the books!--without any reporting by our highly-trained journalistic professionals. |

| Apr-12-12 | | Boomie: This is an interesting summary of Faith in philosophy. http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/f... Many posters here have some kind of "Faith" and this article can help define what the heck that means. Faith is a uniquely human trait I think. Though it wouldn't surprise me if some crows have it too. What is the evolutionary advantage to "Faithing"? Or Compassion for that matter. The SEP is a nice reference to bookmark. |
