May-22-12  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: That's a BIG BAZOOMBA movie?!>

More of a small, cuddly, overcompensating with personality bada bingas movie.

May-22-12  brankat: <jessica> <...that they actually dug Bobby out of the ground.>

Is this true? I had not heard of it before.

jessicafischerqueen: He was disinterred by court order to decide the paternity claim by <Yoko Ono>, an act of grotesque and ghastly low class. She wanted money. So she got Bobby dug up.

She is no better than a failed grave robber.

jessicafischerqueen: Also what the hell kind of name is "Jinky" for a child of Bobby Fischer, what was Yoko thinking?!
May-22-12  brankat: Well then, are the DNA test results known? RJF probably made a mistake by not spending all the money while he still could have.
May-22-12  brankat: Maybe she meant "Jinxy" ;-)

jessicafischerqueen: lol Yes definitive results, <Jinko Balboa> was in no way related to Bobby.
May-22-12  Alien Math: <jessicafischerqueen> Email send, some information from Google Cache for Bobby Fischer
May-22-12  twinlark: FYI: Wesley So
May-23-12  brankat: <jessica> <<Jinko Balboa> was in no way related to Bobby.>

Does this mean the widow is an heir/beneficiary? If that is the case then she'll do considerably better than she did with her first(?) hubby, Alex AA :-)

May-23-12  brankat: <twinlark> <FYI: Wesley So>

Great work, no doubt. Must have involved a lot of research. Effort and time. Patience.

Unfortunately, this kind of an effort, particularly when under a certain pressure, can lead to an opposite extreme.

SO, now we have a situation where young Wesley's CG.com Bio is more voluminous than those of Botvinnik, Tal, Spassky, Korchnoi, Bronstein, Smyslov put together. To mention just a few. There are others. Nimzowitch, Rubinstein, Gligoric, Geller, Larsen...

Of course, there must be a large number of Bios waiting there turn, You can't do them all at once. I don't know what criteria You've been using to form a "line-up", but it occurred to me that the young ones could perhaps wait a while longer, until the older masters, the predecessors are taken care of first. We owe them at least that much.

May-23-12  brankat: Some more names that come to mind, chronologically.

Blackburne, Burn, Chigorin, Tarrasch, Zuckertort, Pillsbury, Marshall, Spielmann, Vidmar, Reti, Fine, Reshevsky, Najdorf, Szabo, Kotov, Taimanov, Panno, Stein, Polugaevsky, Uhlmann, Portisch, Hort, Karpov(!), Ljubojevic, Beliavsky, Vaganian, Timann...

May-23-12  Boomie: <brankat, twinlark>

Second the kudos on So's bio.

<brankat: the young ones could perhaps wait a while longer, until the older masters, the predecessors are taken care of first. We owe them at least that much.>

The Barangay is a special place at CG and I think the choice of So first is brilliant. We should all encourage this remarkable collection of So fans. That could only lead to more premium members.

May-23-12  Boomie: <brankat>

Also, check out Biographer Bistro where talk of bios is the soup du jour.

May-23-12  twinlark: <brankat>

They're on my to do list. I've been focusing on historical figures, starting with WCs and have just recently finished Euwe after starting on Steinitz and working my way along chronologically. Botvinnik is next followed by Smyslov etc unless someone else does them first. Then other famous historical figures who deserve more comprehensive bios than they currently have.

I thought So's bio would be worthwhile to update now as he attracts so much interest from so many members of this place, and because the situation basically called for it. The recent partial update that prompted a post for a further update was mine, so I felt responsible for completing the job.

If anyone thinks other bios are too short in comparison to So, then I'm quite happy to include any missing info. Modern players, however, tend to have a lot more information that is accessible on the 'net, which is my primary source of info. But others like Alekhine are so famous that much info finds its way onto the net anyway.

May-23-12  hms123: <jess> Another historical figure for your consideration: http://www.chesscafe.com/urcan/urca...
May-23-12  The Big Lebowski: Wow! Ms Jessicafischerqueen you have quite the forum on 'The Man' Bobby Fischer! Awesome! I'm new here and I'm checking the place out. I feel good karma here, maybe I knew you in another life.

jessicafischerqueen: <The Dude> good heavens I just downloaded you last night. I've seen you a dozen times at least, but it struck me I should get a permanent copy before the internet shuts down.

So I downloaded every <Cohen Brother> film.

Among Cohen brother films I rank you third, below only <Blood Simple> and <Miller's Crossing>.

Among all comedy films in history, I rank you one below none.

May-23-12  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: If you could buy things with Chessbucks this website would get a million more views per day eh? They should apply for a gambling licence. Are there any Indians on the payroll?>

We've got some Indian journalists on the payroll. They might like a story like that.

May-24-12  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: Where does it say that we can't open a Casino?>

The Lake Road Boys, Dino and Desi. That's where it says.

You're always welcome at The Cirque tables. That's twice gambling since that would be going to a second location with a hippie.

May-24-12  Boomie: <Jessie Joe Wolcott>

I'm picking Panda by knockout in the 8th. Gerbil will not withstand the champ's all out assault.

May-24-12  Boomie: <Jersey Joe>

Don't attract the Bookie! I took a bath last round and have been unable to meet the vig. I'm in desparate need of a first born. Could you help me in that area? We could call him Boomyourang if you like.
