“Dear children, as my eyes are looking at you, my soul is seeking those souls with whom it desires to be one – the souls who have understood the importance of prayer for those of my children who have not come to know the love of the Heavenly Father.> I am calling you because I need you.> Accept the mission and do not be afraid, I will strengthen you.> I will fill you with my graces.> With my love I will protect you from the evil spirit.> I will be with you.> With my presence I will console you in difficult moments.> Thank you for your open hearts.> Pray for priests.> Pray that the unity between my Son and them may be all the stronger, that they may be one.> Thank you.”>

jessicafischerqueen: To date, here is the only truly autobiographical book about <Harry Nelson Pillsbury>, written by one of our own members, User: jnpope:

============

Harry Nelson Pillsbury: American Chess Champion [Paperback] Jaques N. Pope (Author)

http://www.amazon.com/Harry-Nelson-...

In addition to a comprehensive list of games, some rare, there is a substantial amount of reliable and sourced bibliographical information about "Pillsbury the man."

Sep-04-12  Travis Bickle: Hi Jess hows your chess going these days? I've been playing at Playchess.com as a guest and I have been kicking ass and taking names! ; P

  Annie K.: <autobiographical>

You mean 'biographical', Shirley? :D Mr. Pope did a very fine job indeed - and it's great to see him here, btw! - but I don't think he's Pillsbury in disguise. Or in cognito. ;)

jessicafischerqueen: <Annie> so you have a theory that <jnpope> is not in fact <Harry Pillsbury>? I will explore your theory further with some autobiographical research.

Annie K.: <Jess> just a hunch - mostly because my new widescreen monitor sits lower than I'm used to from the old one...

jessicafischerqueen: <Annie> you could put your monitor on top of a stack of chess books to adjust the height? I'm not an interior decorator, however, so you should take any advice from me with caution.

Annie K.: Sounds reasonable. I'll have to buy more chess books. Thx!

Sep-06-12  Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, here's a very early Beatles song, a B side of Twist & Shout I think, but it's probably my favorite 1963 Beatles song. I read recently that The Beatles made pop music into an art form. I think that states their early music very well. It always amazes me how they can bring you to a place of cheer in only 2 minutes!

There's a place - The Beatles

But I thought you would be one of those big shots holding the strings. Senator Fischerqueen. Governor Fischerqueen.

This Beatles song I never heard before, and you are right it's brilliant:

Very difficult to feel crappy when listening to this, infectious and uplifting work. Also, some great photos of young Paul and John enjoying their friendship.

Sep-07-12  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: Where does it say you can't kill a police captain.>

I'm talking about a WC who was dirty, who got mixed up with the Nazis and got what was coming to him.

That would make a terrific story. We have newspapermen on the payroll. They might like a story like that.

Sep-07-12  notyetagm: Looking good.
