Thanks for those wonderful friendship songs. This SIMON AND GARFUNKLE one is understated and beautiful, like the rest of their work. I love it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul2... ##############################
Wow! Your band is great. You can never go wrong with a groovy 60s vibe. "The T-Bones": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP1... QUESTION: When did your band break up, and was Roger Waters involved? |
|
Mar-12-14
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Hozza> brilliant selection... I was going to say that <Ryan's> work might be so downbeat because it's no fun being blind, but then I remembered how upbeat <Stevie Wonder> is. I do have to mention that <Ryan Adams> is the best looking musician in history, blind or not. |

Well said.
You know you're a die hard Floyd fan when you like to listen to <Umma Gumma> over and over till your ears start bleeding. This <Roger Waters> track in particular is a "die hard" standout. Kind of like Alvin and the Chipmunks after taking a lot of LSD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5g... |
|
| Mar-12-14 | | Travis Bickle: <jessicafischerqueen: ...QUESTION: When did your band break up, and was Roger Waters involved?> We broke up because that was the only song that we could come up with which is not a good idea when you're competing against The Beatles, The Rolling Stones & The Beach Boys... ; P P.S. Yes Roger Waters also was instrumental in our break-up as he was our roadie, lol! |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Heh... I don't think Roger liked being a roadie back when they had to haul all of their gear up and down England in a Van that kept breaking down. The GHODZILLA movie list is indeed priceless. If you passed that over to <pgp> he'd appreciate it too. I think he might be the biggest MONSTER MOVIE fan ever. He wrote one of his articles about GODZILLA. Heh... Great commercial except from the first two seconds I was wanting Godzilla to bite off that broad's head. Thanks for the heads up on the new Godzilla movie. Seriously, the most recent remake with the FERRIS BULLERS DAY OFF guy was horrible. I suspect the new one will be brilliant. I'm going to wait till a 45 GB file is offered on torrent and then download it. |

Amazing video from <Cavern Club>, with amazing line up too. Paul looks the youngest of them all, though he's older than Dave. Another point of connection between <Beatles> and <Floyd> was the fact that Floyd recorded most of their records at <Abbey Road>. George Martin didn't think much of them. But there was a fortunate coincidence for music history. <Alan Parsons> was employed at the time as an Abbey Road sound engineer. Abbey Road stuck him with the Floyed whilst they were recording "Dark Side of the Moon," and he came up with so many inventive ideas that made their way on to the record that he got a credit as "album producer." <Roger Waters> didn't want to give him a producer credit, but he was convinced otherwise by the others. This "producing credit" launched Alan Parsons' recording career. Here is his "Sirius- Eye in the Sky":

It's a little strange- a few minutes of Prog Rock followed by a pop song that could only ever have been written in the 1980s. |

The result was a convincing 99.95% against the union. Results only North Korea and Russia can compete with nowadays... |
