| Feb-20-19 | | playground player: <jessicafischerqueen> You weren't sentenced to one of Trudeau's pronoun farms, were you? |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
Thanks <Tab>- if I have my maths correct, it is high summer in Norge at the moment? That means you are subsisting entirely on a diet of elderberries? |
|
Feb-20-19
 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Lee> I didn't get where I am today by being sentenced to a pronoun farm. I'm not really a "new pronoun" person. |
|
Feb-20-19
 | | WannaBe: Whaddareyou? Conoun person? |
|
Feb-21-19
 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<MannBee> Yes, I am. Interestingly, did you know that <Conoun O'Brian> is actually "pronoun"? Go figure. |
|
Feb-21-19
 | | Tabanus: High winter jess, minus 10, but now the forecast says it'll be <plus> 10 during the coming week-end, with a possible record for February. Arrgh, this change of climate. |
|
| Feb-21-19 | | Boomie: I'm more amateur noun my own darn self. |

<Tim> Could you re-post that in broken Spanish? I'm having a lot of trouble parsing English since I began posting on Facebook horror groups as two legendary Mexican brothers who were horror movie directors. As far as I can tell they never actually existed, though who really knows about such things. Maybe they accidentally existed. I make all my posts with the Google "English to Spanish" translator but I have no idea how accurate it is. I can confirm that it's not improving my Spanish, although how would I even know that amirite. This audiovisual aid should help explain:

Let me be clear, though - I respect my elderberries. |

| Mar-07-19 | | mckmac: <Jess> I would like to apologise to you. It's not enough for me to have a promising idea, I seem to have to turn it into a full blown looney tunes plan. I'm afraid that immoderate is still my middle name, and at my age there's really no excuse.Matt |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Matt> Good heavens you didn't do anything wrong, I have just been super busy offline the last while. The plan is good brah I am on board. |
|
| Mar-07-19 | | mckmac: Thanks for that Jess. There's no reason why it can't be a success and worthwhile. Will be in contact closer to the day. |

| Mar-08-19 | | crawfb5: <Jess> Annie seems to have been handling uploads and some corrections, based on what I've seen at the Bistro. I got her to fix a few dozen ICCF games misattributed to Michael Rohde. She'll probably see your request either place, but posts at the Bistro are maybe a little less likely to be buried by other stuff. In other news, I finally retired in mid-January. The first two weeks felt like vacation, but the rest has been good, getting out of the race with the rats. I have been spending more time with the dogs (they dig it) and doing photography (now I can go when I want, not when I can). I need to step up my game on handyman projects, but baby steps. I have not yet returned to correspondence play, but probably will at some point. |
|
Mar-09-19
 | | Tabanus: <jess> I checked two games and at least F Apsenieks vs E Melngailis, 1932 and Vladimir Petrov vs O Karlin, 1928 are uploaded. But Annie apparently only takes the 1-by-1 games from the Upload Utility. |
|
Mar-09-19
 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Big> Thank you for the heads up! Congratulations on retirement, and your incipient re-entry into the top tier of Correspondence Master Play. |

<Tab> I didn't really understand your post, but probably because I don't understand Estonian. Heh... told you eh? As I predicted four months ago, all we had to do was wait, and <Annie> would come through on a new <correction slip/game upload> regime. I don't usually like to say "I told you so," but I told you so.
lol

<Tab> Oh! I understand what you meant now in your post here, or at least I can shed some light on it from my end: jessicafischerqueen chessforum (kibitz #35407) I have been examining my list here: Game Collection: CORRECTION SLIPS and UPLOADED GAMES 2018 , and I can report that all of the correction slips I logged on it have indeed been corrected. I can also report that all of the historical game uploads I submitted have also been uploaded. All of the rest of the games in this list that have not been uploaded- I have not submitted any of them yet to the <cg.com> Upload Utility. I can barely remember now, but I'm pretty sure about this, because I didn't put any "Submitted Upload" headers on any of them. Also I remember thinking I was going to wait until the handful of my submitted uploads got uploaded before submitting any of the games on my list. So I will begin submitting the rest of my list now. In addition, <hemy> <chesshistoryinterest> and I have dozens and dozens more games to submit for upload, now that <Annie> has got the wheels moving again. But I will have to get in touch with them so that we coordinate properly, so as not to duplicate any new upload submissions. Also why not open your forum brah? Were crabby people pestering in you there? If you open your forum again I can visit it and crab at you there. |

<Tab> lol I have never been so happy to be confused in my life! Apparently <Annie> has already uploaded several new <Petrovs> games that I had not marked as "submitted" from my list here: Game Collection: CORRECTION SLIPS and UPLOADED GAMES 2018 Luckily, thanks to the miracle of "split screen" I have these two pages up on my computer simultaneously: Vladimir Petrov Game Collection: Vladimirs Petrovs Tournaments/Matches 1923-1942 Now I am carefully going through game by game and inserting <Annie's> new uploads into my games collection, so as not to miss any. After I finish all this, I do have another question you might be able to answer? QUESTION: If I submit a game to the <cg.com> upload utility that is already in the database, will the utility reject the duplicate submission at entry point, so that I can plainly see that it has been rejected? Or will the upload utility accept my game "silently" so that I have no idea if I have just submitted an upload request for a game that already exists in our database? |
|
Mar-10-19
 | | Tabanus: Jess, I think it will end in a queue for manual review, not sure.. Ask Annie :) What I'm worried about now is the games sent by mail to CG. I rarely do this, however, and only if I intend to make a game collection. Not sure if Annie handles also mail-sent games. |
|
Mar-11-19
 | | Tabanus: <Jess> Annie & Co. will probably make a better submission utility but it may take days or years. Meanwhile, we should keep an overview of our own game submissions so not to get lost. That's easier said than done - I've already forgot a game that I know I must have sent in! |
|
Mar-11-19
 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Tab> aha ok that makes sense, thank you. Why not just ask <Annie> about future "batch" submissions? Eventually I would also like to make "batch" submissions for the three <Tournament Index> events which we now have all the games for: Game Collection: Kemeri 1939 Game Collection: Bad Harzburg 1938 Game Collection: Maehrisch-Ostrau 1933 |
|
Mar-11-19
 | | Tabanus: <jess> I just had a batch submission (45 games) uploaded, and I suspect it was Annie who did it! Btw.. umm.. it's voting time ;) |
|
Mar-11-19
 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Tab> Nice one! So to submit Tuvshintugs Batchimeg , you just send all of the pgns in an email? Do you send them in the body of the email, or as an attachment, such as microsoft Word? |
