Lawn darts.

If you drive out to the country for a relaxing day of lawn darts with your family, what do you do if your darts have broken vanes? They cannot fly and your game is over.

Not so! Simply replace the lawn dart with a 1 kilogram dead weight. Attach your family cat to the dead weight with 30 grade deep sea fishing line, and have at it!

The dead weight will break the air for your jury rigged lawn dart, and the cat will provide ample counterbalance, allowing for a really sweet arc on each toss.

You'll thank me later.>

OMG! OMG! If this isn't the craziest coincidence EVER! EVER! *EVER!*

Long time ago I had a physics instructor who hated cats.

He had one bumper sticker on his convertible coupe:

<I LIKE CATS. DEAD ONES.>

As he was teaching, he would make analogies to present the material. All the analogies were about tormenting cats.

The only one I remember is the one about fission in a nuclear reactor. He likened the thermal (slow) neutrons to lawn darts, and the fissile Uranium (the 235 isotope) to cats in the yard.

And he said when you throw the lawn darts at the cats, some will miss, but some of the darts would go into cats, splitting the cats in two.

And that's nuclear fission!

That is your name brah, but spelled out in "blue links". Each of those blue geezers is a cg.com member like us.

So- "Cibator, meet blue link magic"

It's magic because the rule is you can't register a new account to add another blue link to the bank. You can only create sentences by linking already existing cg.com member names.

For example, there is no user: Ohio

That means in order to make <Ohio Chess Fan> out of blue links, I have to use existing user names to make the sound "Ohio"

User: oooo

User: high

User: yoyo

There is a user: chess but I prefer to think of <Ohio Chess Fan> as <Ohio Cheese Fan> because he is a state agricultural fair enthusiast (true- ask him about his State butter cow statues).

So there is a user: fan, so I can used that to complete his name in "blue link."

There is likely a better way to change Ohio Chess Fan to blue links, but I'm not one of the better players.

Best players include the inventor User: OhioChessFan , User: whiteshark , and User: chancho.

You may know chancho better as User: lotsapoppa or User: canyonero.

One of the most intriguing thins about the Blue Link Magic game is just how curious the bios are if you click on them.

Recent example: User: good

Click on him and see:

im fat>

So he signed up on one day (December 28, 2005), solely in order to inform a large group of people he didn't know that <im fat> and then left on the same day. The mystery is only deepened by his refusal to use upper case letters or contractions.

User: cheese

User: lol

User: haha

User: hahaha>

was my response to a joke <Ohio> posted in blue links.

Translation:

<Ohio Chess Fan (laughs) so funny I pooed (laughs) (laughs)>

You can readily see that my prose is not really up to the standard of Proust, or Andrew Dice Clay for that matter.

But with blue link magic, it is transformed!

This user has never kibitzed.>

Maybe his/her/its brain was so big that it instantly memorized the site. So no need for more than one day of browsing the content. Doubtless, such a super brain would readily comprehend the futility of adding any new content with a post.
