The clear implication was a similar post next time would lead to my account being deleted. I deny anything improper in my post. You made the claim against me, right here. Show the world my post. That's only fair. When you point out specifically what was impolite, I'll repost with that corrected. |

<Ohio> I am sorry you are going through this vexing argument with <Annie>. I can't think of two people who have contributed more to cg.com. I regard you both to be indispensable to our website, so I hope you guys can work it out. "Somebody has to stop first" springs to mind, which is the best advice you ever gave me. And you have given much excellent advice to me. When I follow it, things are invariably better. I didn't see your original post, but you are welcome to continue archiving in my forum. I've been using the Wayback Machine lately, ever since I almost accidentally deleted the whole thing. The only reason I got it back was that the Machine had thankfully taken a random shot of it, which <Annie> kindly dug up and posted for me. On the issue, I can see <Annie's> frustration with cranky posts complaining about the site function. She gets a lot of this kind of post, and I think we should try to be a little more polite and patient with her. I don't single you out here- it's not just you who has spoken a tad testily to her over the last year. Far from it. I can also see your frustration in being singled out for this go-round. I would feel the same, I am sure. It's particularly frustrating to me that I am not able to see your original post. But mainly I hope you guys can work it out between you. We simply cannot afford to lose either of you. This site has done enough bleeding already. |

<Tim> "I know that gibbous are good at hanging from tree limbs by their tails." heh... I've literally been laughing at this one for a month now. Apologies for recent silence but things are quite tough here on the home front at the moment. Luckily my lovely sister visited last weekend and lent a considerable helping hand. Here is some shocking footage of a gibbon moon, perhaps the best moon. I really like this video for the editing and wonderful spooky music. I believe it is from THE LEGEND OF ZELDA video game. I never met Zelda myself, but I understand she is a popular girl. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1U... |

<Paint My Dragon, Cibator> Sorry to be absent from footy for so long. I got really depressed watching the Spurs' last game of the season. Wonderful footy but the absence of fans really started to wear on me. I'm not sure why they can't sell tickets to fill 1/6th of the venues at least. Just sit people 6 feet apart or some such? |

<Tim> "the case of the upside down "U". Fortuitous to be sure, but fortune naturally seems to follow from good comedy. You brought back fond memories of my star gazing days when I would spend hours behind the telescope, watching the gibbous dance in the night sky. |

| Sep-17-20 | | Cheshire Matt: <Jess> (new improved <mckmac> here) Remember how you said you liked the marvellous Linn Lorkin? Well, check out this detailed profile that's just been posted at the excellent 'Audioculure Iwi Waiata' website. <Linn Lorkin’s talents as a pianist, singer, songwriter, actor – and linguist – have taken her from a farm near Tokoroa, and schooling in Otahuhu, to London in the Swinging Sixties.
She has had residencies in Copenhagen, Naples and New York, and played festivals, piano bars, theatres and cabarets around the world – and back home in New Zealand. Her songs capture her varied experiences, from idyllic childhood summers with her song ‘Family at the Beach’ to a bleak stint in Villa Poggi, an Italian prison.> https://www.audioculture.co.nz/peop... ^^^^^^

I got really depressed watching the Spurs' last game of the season ...> No worries - When I read back my last post, it sounded like I was poking fun, which wasn't really intended. I spent three years in London cheering on the Harry Hotspurs, so it pains me to see what Levy is doing there. Things might be looking up. Bale apparently on his way - controversial I know - but Reguilon also looking like a strong possible signing. Funny how both have been linked with Spurs OR ManU. Same thing happened with Dybala. Perhaps just a throwback to who Jose was shadowing in the past. Anyway, take care and most importantly, start enjoying your football again! |

<Newly Minted Chess Shire Cat> It is indeed a most sumptuous <Linn Lorkin> page thank you! She is certainly versatile, and would not be out of place at a smoky bar in the Wiemar Republic either. This is my favorite track from the page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fj... |

<Tim> Have you ever been to Penticton? We used to go there all the time to get hammered on the beach in the summer. Being a rather conservative Christian community at the time, the police used to keep a sharp eye out for drinking on the beach. So we had to invent "dinkers" which were beer bottles buried in the sand with a straw poking out. We would like on our stomachs and sip all day. Did you have "dinkers" at the famed "Puyallup beach and bar"? |
