  al wazir: There's an easier way to get an answer to your question than by unignoring people who are best ignored: use the search thread.

Just click on "go" with the keyword box empty. That displays *all* the messages posted there, in inverse chronological order -- the good, the bad, and the ugly -- including those posted by users on your I-list.

But I don't recommended reading them all, espcially if you are of a sensitive nature.

  FSR: Chessgames has no picture of Heimo Titz. There is a ChessBase profile of him that contains a photograph. https://players.chessbase.com/en/pl... Maybe chessgames should approach ChessBase for permission to use it? I'm sure many members would enjoy seeing a picture of Titz.

<FSR> lol I just bet they would...

To my knowledge, no player photos have been added to any player page since <Annie K> was here.

I don't really have any actual information on that though.

  FSR: <jfq> It would be best if we could also add a picture of his brother Herbert Titz. https://www.chess-vienna.at/nachruf... Some chessgames members may never have seen a pair of Titz.

<optimal play> It's my pleasure, particularly since your posts showed me the amazing http://www.ozbase.com.au/games.html resource.

What a treasure trove it is eh.

<optimal play>

One of the most convenient aspects of <ozbase> is that the games are listed by event in chronological order, as they are in <rusbase>.

Thanks to our new techs, some of the games we upload will be assigned a TID (tournament identification number) and then grouped on an event page, as they are here for the tournament I worked on yesterday:

NSW v Victoria telegraph match (1895)

Oct-21-21  optimal play: Yes, ozbase is a very good collection of historical Australian chess games. And very reliable. When checked against other sources such as newspapers, they have always been correct.

Having those games grouped together on an event page is a good idea. It will save on having to make your own game collections.
