Aug-31-11  WinKing: <kutz> email alert.
Sep-02-11  WinKing: <kutztown46> I would be glad to take a forum. :)
Sep-02-11  isemeria: Hi <kutz>,
I can host a forum. It will be only with minimal requirements. I will analyze whatever variations I find interesting but not necessarily the one assigned to my forum. And I'm not able to do summaries. Hope this helps anyway.

I'll try to remember inform you in advance when I need a break for real life obligations.

Sep-02-11  Golden Executive: <kutztown46> and <Isemeria> If you agree, I can be <Isemeria>´s backup at any time he needs some break. With the minimal requirements also because I am not very skilled doing summaries (as you know, my English is rudimentary).
Sep-02-11  WinKing: Hey <kutz> would you have time to do one of your 'mega move' runs on this move Bg5. I would like to see all of black's best options here. Mostly I am curious about ...Ba6 & ...c5. Your runs are the best in these situations - 'Cool Runnings'!

Sep-03-11  WinKing: Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Thank you very much <kutztown46> for taking the time to do a run. I have copied it & added it to my notes. Must say I am surprised ...Ba6 ended up at the bottom of the heap. The problem with this move is white can just about force a favorable exchange of queens in this line while keeping an advantage as your analysis shows:

<1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.Qc2 O-O 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 b6 7.Bg5 * >

10. ² (0.48): 7...<Ba6> 8.Qf3 Nc6 9.e3 Re8 10.Bxf6 Qxf6 11.Qxf6 gxf6

If black tries to keep queens on with let's say...

<7...Ba6 8.Qf3 Nc6 9.Bxf6 <gxf6>> (instead of 9...Qxf6)

10.e3 Na5 11.Rc1 c5 12.Bd3 d5 13.Rc3 f5 14.cxd5 Bxd3 15.Rxd3 c4 16.Rd1 Qxd5

...white still keeps the advantage & queens will probably still come off the board .

  kutztown46: <capafan>

I support the idea of an endgame forum. I think it should be a separate forum, outside the group of five analysis forums.

This idea has been brought up in previous games. It always seemed to be a good idea but it never got traction.

Do you have a suggestion as to who could host it?

Sep-09-11  capafan: <Blue Wave>might be a good candidate...he is an analyst with a Hiarcs which has proven to be a better engine in endings...he is also active and diligent.

<Tabanus>, <imag>, <Boomie> are old colleagues, however, I do not know whether they would have sufficient time and they also appear to be very active in the other fora...we might be better with someone who is otherwise not so engaged.

<cro777> is a logical choice, however, he has not chosen to open his forum yet...in addition, he is very active in the other fora also.

<DaringSpeculator> might be another idea. He/she has been active, he/she is relatively new and might be interested.

If I think of others, I will drop you a note....

Sep-09-11  cro777: <kutztown46: <capafan> I support the idea of an endgame forum.>

Thank you for supporting the idea of an endgame forum. If you agree I will activate my forum for that purpose.

Sep-09-11  WinKing: <kb2ct> lives for the endgame. You might want to consider asking him for assistance on this panel. He is very well versed in this phase of the game.

Excellent idea! I second this recommendation...<cro777> and <kb2ct> would be a great combo.
