"Play the board AND the man ! ".
But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.

In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience. As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes, but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves, but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

Dec-16-11  achieve: <moronovich> You're definitely the "Ace in the Pack" lately - encouraging and giving good advice - and I miraculously am now finding some relief from the aspirin (not paracetamol) Ibuprofen combination, having had almost an hour of bearable pain, not the drive-you-up-the-wall-type pain...

(partly copied from my place - fingers crossed that the improvement may at least get me through the weekend...)

Thanks, your support really impresses me and helps me.

  moronovich: <achieve> !

I am very glad to hear it seems to go better(knock wood)as in your situation every single moment of lesser pain is more than gold worth..

and fingers crossed here too - perhaps you even can get some decent sleep tonight !?

Good night and see you tomorrow !

Dec-17-11  achieve: Good day, <Moro>! Pretty much holding up today, and had a few welcome hours of sleep last night, indeed like gold nuggets, so now it's a matter of getting through the weekemd and then treatment from my regular dentist. The nerve is basically too vulnerable and causes too much discomfort to let it live; it must die! hehe

But it's tough sledding and draining with the pain flaring up each hour, although less intense than yesterday and thursday, so the support from you and brankat is much appreciated.

Hope you have a nice weekend ;)

Oh, and I just read the latest interview with Carlsen, which was very interesting and thought provoking and entertaining.

Dec-17-11  achieve: Ah - what a coincidence, I see you just posted on the interview at the Carlsen page!

  moronovich: Hi´<achieve> !

Coinsdences happen it seems - I love them, either mankind or perhaps with a kind of divine interference !? Or both. When connection works;)

Glad you liked the Carlsen interview,as I did,but most of all that you got some sleep and the pain sounds to be less hard to bear...

When I had my toothache the dentist was a true reflief no matter what he charged ;)---so hang in there.

RE Ibuprofen : Best is to eat a little(just some youghurt, banana, slice of bread)before taking them.In this way the dear stomach should not be overloaded,as I was taught. But I suppose you already know!?

I am of for now.At the seaside with wifey.Going for the sunlight and coffe with cakes at the seaside.

Sea you and take care !

To be with the wifey at the seaside, enjoy sunlight, coffee, cakes, maybe a glass of wine. You prefer all that to kibitzing at CG? You can't be serious :-)

I was only joking off course. In the reality I am in St Quentin going over some AJ-games the entire day, which is the hardest part.

;)

hope things are fine in Vancouver !?

Dec-18-11  brankat: One may want to consider writing a book about AJ. A guaranteed bestseller :-)
Dec-21-11  brankat: The Women's World Team Championship is in it's third round already, and still no action at the Bookie's. He has not been seen in 2 weeks.

Thank you and cheers to you and Raoul !

Too bad about the bookies silence. Not a worthy conclusion on this leg,IMO.

We should gang together and ask(demand!?) that next leg he should announce the starting and the concluding time.

We still miss Christian Poulsen, what a great player he was for us. Go Denmark!

Dec-24-11  meloncio: BTW, Did you know that Sevilla FC had two Danish players in 90s? They were Thomas Rytter and Milkos Molnar.
