Hello all,
I joined CG as an administrator, editor & front-end developer. I will start helping CG with administrative/editor tasks such as making sure tournaments and their bio's are complete and up-to-date, reading forums to help list and prioritize tasks at hand.

I uploaded the game Cochrane vs Staunton, 1843 selected UNORTHODOX in the game-type in which i had no problems. I uploaded a few games yesterday in which I was selecting different game-types with no problems. Which Device and Browser are you using? Sometimes errors occur on specific devices and or browsers <MissScarlett: Another glitch I noticed which has only cropped up in the last couple of days, so is probably connected with recent fixes, is that on game pages when you select the <view> (PGN) option, it's usually unresponsive. If will work after a hard refresh, but that needs to be done every time it doesn't work.> This bug has been fixed.

Oct-19-22		Stonehenge: After two years it still says <Scotch Game: General> here: Carlsen vs A Diamant, 2003.

Oct-21-22		petemcd85: Hey <stone>, Sorry for the delayed response. The "Scotch Game: General" refers to the "caxton" of the game. The caxton takes precedence over the eco name => (Sicilian, Accelerated Fianchetto). I'm not too familiar with what a caxton is, so I'm not sure what's the appropriate content for that section. <After two years it still says <Scotch Game: General>> I'm assuming you may have updated the "eco" 2 years ago, in which case, there may be a bug in the eco updater. Is that the case?

Oct-21-22		Stonehenge: It should say <Sicilian, Accelerated Fianchetto (B37)> but it still says <Scotch Game: General (B37) >, which is nonsense. The pgn got corrected from 1. e4 e5 to 1. e4 c5 and the ECO also got corrected, but the name in the header did not. Other problems: <Last FIDE rating> doesn't get updated, <Number of games in database> doesn't get updated.

Oct-22-22		MissScarlett: The final round game between Sevian and Dominguez is missing from U.S. Championship (2022). It was a short draw ending in a perpetual, so it's obviously fallen foul of the newly-improved duplicate detection system.

Oct-22-22		Stonehenge: Something else. Look at the yellow pencils here, indicating that the games are annotated: Blindfold simul, 8b (1858). Here there is no problem because the games are annotated. But PGNs that get uploaded with someting like <...> or <more moves> or <time> etc. also get this pencil, while they do not have annotation. Stuff like <time> is no annotation. Games with actual annotation are hardly being uploaded, so please get rid of that pencil. I have already changed hundreds of games one for one, and it's really too much work. If a game gets uploaded with annotation, then it's just a matter of changing no (annotation) to yes in the editor.
