The mastery of chess, as everyone knows, comes from the mastery of endgame play. However, not everyone knows that defensive play is also of equal importance. Very often a loss or a win depend on the player's defensive strength. If an attack is unsuccessful, by all means, players can recompose themselves to start another attack. However, things are not so simple when the players fail to defend properly. Very often hopeless position arise because of it. It is just too difficult to describe how important defensive technique is. This game collection presents to honour those who put up an extraordinary defence against their oppponent.
