Kibitzer's Corner
May-08-11  YoungEd: White's troubles seem to start with 4. c4. Not a premature resignation!

Phony Benoni: I once played through a collection of Polish Opening games this sort of thing where Black plays ...Ne3 with the bishop on b4 is a common sort of trap.

If 11.Qa4 Bd7 sets White insoluble problems, and 11.Qc1 Nxg2+ and 12...Nxf4 is little better.

For the pun, rhyme with "Mille" rathan "Mile".

Aug-18-17  eykca: Correct me if I'm wrong, but <Phony Benoni's> last post sounds like it was posted after 1.5 glasses of Merlot.
Aug-18-17  Cheapo by the Dozen: In lieu of resignation, White might try

11 Qb3 Nxg2+
12 Kd1 Nxf4
13 Qxb4 Qxe5
14 Qb5, which defends against Black's mate threat, temporarialy prevents ... Qxa1, and tries to exchange queens.

Black is still up 3 pawns for the exchange, and could do better than that via alternatives on Move 13. But at least White has chances at ... well, I chose my user name for a reason. :)

Aug-18-17  kevin86: A quick knockout!
Aug-18-17  ninja warrior: pb: wouldn't rhyming zile with 'meal' make more sense? =D

  Annie K.: Nope... :p

Although 'mile' would be right too, depending on whether you like the British pronunciation ;)

Aug-18-17  I Like Fish:

zile mile zmile...
the main thing is...
he was verily...
misguided...

Domdaniel: Who is guiding Ms Zile anyway?
Aug-18-17  morfishine: Let's see, these 2 players have a total of 3 games in the database

That about sums this one up

<Cheapo by the Dozen> Nice post

  Annie K.: <Dom: <Who is guiding Ms Zile anyway?>>

Well, Ms Zile has been seen heading for the principal's office... ;s

Aug-18-17  thegoodanarchist: <Domdaniel: Who is guiding Ms Zile anyway?>

Same person driving Miss Daisy? I dunno...

The Rolling Stones had a song called who's driving your plane?

Annie K.: ....just for those who still don't get it, 'Misguided Zile' is a spoonerism for 'Guided Missile'. ;)

tamar: So the principal goaded or guided Miss Zile? I'm confused.

Annie K.: <tamar> good to see you again! :) I know you've been around all along, but we just don't seem to post in the same places much these days.

I was just wondering if Ms Zile might have a Guiding Principal... ;s

tamar: yes, dear Annie, the case of the errant Miss Zile troubles me. She took the wrong course.
