WannaBe: funny game. Sac, Sac, Sac, Sac, resign. Just like how I play!
Aug-23-06  syracrophy: With too many pieces lost in less that 15 moves, I felt better of my games.
Aug-26-06  Reti or Knot: White resembles a boxer taking a dive.
May-21-07  ongyj: What's the point of having this game in the database? It's simply a "game-gambit"
May-21-07  whiteshark: There must be a story behind this game. Maybe the following:

Kanakari: "I won!"
Team Assistant: "No, you lose, Konstantia. Checkmate in 15." Kanakari: "Oh, we didn't play suicide chess here?? Nobody told me." Team Assistant: Aarrrgh, @#$%ing ยง!$#&

OBIT: Hmm, White hangs three pieces in the first ten moves, that's gotta be a record. "Konstantina, the pawns move straight, they capture diagonally."

So, since this is from a TEAM championship, do you suppose this team was sacrificing board 1 by putting a beginner on it?

Nov-28-07  YouRang: <OBIT><So, since this is from a TEAM championship, do you suppose this team was sacrificing board 1 by putting a beginner on it?>

Interesting thought, and perhaps it was so. Her opponent, Marta Przezdziecka, appears to be quite a strong player.

So, as a team captain, if you're convinced that the other team's strongest player would beat any of your players, then it does make sense to let your weakest player take the loss and let your better players match up with the other team's weaker players.

And, as that "weakest player" with no chance to win, Kanakari might decide to just play like an idiot and get it over with. Not that I condone such thinking. Surely, she should have given it her best shot. There's always the slight chance of pulling off an upset, but even if not, who would want such an embarrassing game to be recorded under their name?

So far, in this database, Kanakari only has embarrassing games.

Dec-11-07  DukeAlba: This game requires a moment of silence........
Feb-08-08  brankat: More than just a moment.

It is a masterpiece :-)

al wazir: The risk of injury to the delicate feelings of the loser aside, this game should be removed from the database because it distorts the statistics of a relatively infrequently played opening line.
Aug-05-08  zanza: Kanakari or Harakiri? There is also another great game: K Kanakari vs L Rogule, 2006
Sep-02-08  Red October: Gorgeous George goes down in the 4th
Sep-08-08  sallom89: what the game..?
Jan-17-09  WhiteRook48: no... I don't believe white hung all those pieces.
Mar-26-09  WhiteRook48: 3 Nc3??? 5 gxf3??? 8 Re1?? 12 Rg4???
May-04-09  whiteshark: Greek gifts, on a trial basis.
Mar-29-10  RobertLangdon: Ingenious.
Feb-12-11  Antonina: Very funny. My ranking is lower than 1400, but Kanakari plays even worse than I do. Nice game also by Marta who's Polish like me :)
Feb-12-11  BLarsen1967: <julian wan><Was this really from a national team championship league??> Actually the Greek League is quite strong,at least Division A,with players like Ivanchuk,Heine Nielsen,Bologan and Stefanova http://chess-results.com/tnr35841.a...

I think 10 was her rating, or possibly her IQ.

Sep-21-16  Tiggler: Her FIDE player card gives her sex as Male. Which explains ... nothing.
