Shams: Can somebody beat this kid already? Dubov has that meteoric look about him. Man he makes it look easy, here.

achieve: In a complicated middle game Dubov was actually losing after 29 moves, and 30 Bxb5 was in fact begging to be played. Kurnusov probably unable to calculate the not too complex lines in timetrouble?

But after missing that chance Dubov proves to have superior control over this sharp edged dynamic position.

Good old Richter Rauzer "rauscher", this one by Dubov. Very risky stuff though.

Richard Taylor: Yes, a typical double edged Sicilian - like some vars of the Najdorf (probably it transposed) - it's often almost a lottery which side wins!

Don't you mean 30. Bxh5?

Eyal: Yeah, <30.Bxh5!> is winning (after e5 on the previous move has blocked the 5th rank for the queen from defending this square).

For example - 30...gxh5 31.Qxh5 Bxg7 32.Rdg1 (with the threat of 33.Qh8+ followed by 34.Rxg7#) 32...Kf8 33.Rxg7 (tossing a rook to gain a tempo with 32...Rc1+ doesn't work either: 33.Kxc1 Qc7+ 34.Kb1 Kf8 35.Qh8+!); or 30...Nxd1 31.Bxg6 Bxg7 32.Nxe6; or 30...Bxg7 31.Bxg6 Qd5 32.Qxe3 and Black wouldn't last very long (e.g., there's the threat of 33.Nf5!).

achieve: Yes, gentlemen, 30. Bxh5 it is!

Really an unforgivable typo, and I should have proofread and edited, but was on my way to the next <Dubov> game... And thanks to <Eyal> for the concrete lines; he's very good at those! ;)
