Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-26-04  Benzol: H C Christoffersen
Norwegian champion in 1926, 1929 and 1936.
May-09-24  BarakSaltz: Christoffersen won, with 4.5 pts, the Norsk Schakforbund's 1st congress's tournament, which started Nov. 05, 1916. A.M. Erichsen came in second with 4.0 pts; F.M Lindeberg won 3rd prize with 2.5 pts.
May-09-24  BarakSaltz: Correction: "Aftenposten", v57 n574 p5, 11.05.1916 (Sunday morning) indicated the tournament as having started the previous Friday, which would be 11.03.1916.

Tabanus: See also https://www.nb.no/items/188b9612513... (Social-Demokraten, 1916.11.13, pp. 6-7). I have found only 3 games so far.
May-10-24  BarakSaltz: There might be some discrepancy as to how many points Lindeberg scored. "Morgenbladet" 11.12.1916 (morning) p8 indicates 3.5. https://www.nb.no/items/01235d13b21...

Tabanus: 3.5 is impossible since he lost both vs Christoffersen and Erichsen. Aftenposten has 2,5. The rest can be deducted from newspaper reports:

Game Collection: NOR Ch 1916,

except for Lund vs Hals. Either Hals won (Lund 2 points, Hals 1.5), or it was a draw (Lund 2,5 points, Hals 1 point). Tempting to guess Hals won.
