Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-10-17  UncleBent: Akshita gained 84 FIDE rating points over the last 2 months, including 46 at the Queen City IM Norm RR, where she finished 4.5 -5.5, as the lowest rated player (by far) in the field. Unfortunately, the performances came too late to secure here a return appearance in the 2017 US Womens Championship. She is now the #1-rated U16 Female player in the USA.
Jul-17-17  UncleBent: She has clinched the 2017 US Girls Championship (Closed) in the penultimate round. At just 14, Akshita is proving to be the "class" of the impressive group of American female teens. If she continues at her current rate of improvement, she is a contender for the 2018 US Women's Championship next spring.
Jul-13-18  UncleBent: Akshita is not defending her US Girls Ch this year, but has just earned her first IM Norm at the Montcada Intl in Spain.
