Nov-10-05  lopium: Can we have a biography?
Apr-07-06  VishyFan: Neelotpal seems to be winning against Vadim Milov in the last round of Dos Hermanas with black pieces...., the funny thing is Milov has 1:21 hours to Neelotpal's 5 mins..... :)
Apr-07-06  LoFarkas: He just won:) Very low on time approaching the 2nd time control, but he forced the queen exchange and just had to march his pawns in.
Apr-07-06  VishyFan: yep, that was a gr8 win for Neelotpal...... he will gain 5.6 ELO from the tournament......
Apr-10-06  VishyFan: Neelotpal is currently playing in the XXIX San Sebastian Open

he has 2.5 points after 3 rounds...

Apr-14-06  VishyFan: Neelotpal is joint first with 6.5/8 in the San Sebastian Open and is set to gain his final GM Norm and with that the GM Title, if he can get at least a draw against Prie Eric (ELO: 2475) of France with white pieces....

I bet Neelotpal will be the 14th GM for India, after Deepan has garnered his final GM Norm earlier in the week in the National 'A' to become the 13th GM for India .....

Apr-15-06  VishyFan: okie, here we go......, Neelotpal Das is India's next(I will not bother about the number :) ) Grand Master....

He drew his final round game and has successfully earned his 3rd and final GM Norm by finishing tied first with a score of 7.0/9......

Neelotpal will gain 11.6 ELO from this tournament..., he is effectively 2531 now.......

Apr-20-06  VishyFan: Probably the newspapers need a chess correspondent like me to give up to date news for their dailies, so that they don't have to post it after 2 days..... :D

<chesswonders> btw, who are they to confirm it :D
