<moronovich> I thought that the French word in that sense was <prochain>. In Portuguese we have two words for <neighbour> too: <vizinho> e <próximo>...

perfidious: Next exit in French is: <prochaine sortie>. Driven enough in Canada and France that I could hardly forget that one!

<offramp> would, of course, know that.

Feb-27-19  vonKrolock: Well, at the end of Canadian Norman McLaren's 1952 short film <Voisins> we read: <Aimez votre <prochain>>. In English, it's <Neighbour(s)> in both instances...

Feb-08-20  Rose Selavy: No wasted time, no. But now I understand your joke. (My French is weak as well...)
