HeMateMe: Not sure about the rules, but is the Asia that doesn't include Russia? Maybe a different title is necessary.
May-16-12  visayanbraindoctor: Congrats to GMs Negi and Yu Yangyi. They should qualify for the World Cup.

Who among the other participants qualify for the World Cup? Do the players who scored 6 points qualify?

<HeMateMe> Geographically east of the Urals is Asia. Thus most of Russia is actually located in Asia. However, this part of Russia is sparsely populated and historically the Russians (and Slavs in general) always had their capitals in the European part when they became independent of the Mongols and later on the Ottomans. Correct me if I am wrong but before that, they were ruled for centuries from Asia by the Mongols and their succeeding dynasties, which is one reason why of the European peoples, the Russians are one of the most 'Orientalized'.

May-22-12  Marmot PFL: Might be fun to go there someday and hike the Ho Chi Minh Trail, if Americans are permitted to do this. At least we are no longer bombing it.

A friend and I wanted to bicycle across Cuba once, but this was not allowed unless we were students or journalists.
