Schlechter led all the way, with Bernstein making up ground after an early loss and finally tying for the top spot in the last round. Moeller proved to be the strongest of the Scandinavian players.

More details, including round-by-round pairings and standings, can be found in the original collection, Game Collection: Stockholm 1906.

Aug-23-14  Karpova: Information from the announcement on p. 325 of the November 1905 'Wiener Schachzeitung':

The Stockholm Chess Society will arrange an International (mixed) Master tournament from 11 February to 25 February 1906.

The preliminary prizes are 500, 300, 200 and 100 Swedish kronor. Furthermore, no expenses for the foreign chessplayers.

The committee invited Bernstein, Marco, Mieses, Schlechter and Süchting.

The lack of information on this event in the 'Wiener Schachzeitung' is a bit puzzling, since Schlechter and Marco participated. So far, I didn't find any information in the 1906 and 1907 editions, but the picture in the 1913 edition (in a report on the 1912 event). But this happens from time to time, e. g. Rubinstein's match versus Teichmann in Vienna 1908 also received a short mention only.

Aug-23-14  JimNorCal: It's heartening to see that a number of the players used the "Scandinavian" opening.
