    (3) The Jones-Wallace game (1-0, 26 moves) was not listed in the contemporary reports of the results but it appeared in the chess column of the Toronto newspaper The Globe, Nov. 4, 1876, page 7.

    (4) It is unknown what the status of a draw was in this event. Possibly Coleman and Young knocked each other out of the event by drawing. Possibly they refused to have a replay and/or both simply withdrew.
