Feb-12-06  chessmaster pro: well the only real accomplishments iv'e seen in this player is that he had a draw against Marshall and that he beat Sultan Khan.

  GrahamClayton: When Alexander Alekhine made a short trip to Iceland in early August 1931, Gilfer played in a 40 board simultaneous exhibition against Alekhine, with both players playing blindfolded.
