perfidious: Surprised Abrahams went in for the dubious 3....Bc5; but at least he sidestepped 4....Qf6, which would have landed him in a world of hurt after 5.Nd5, known long before the above game was played.

Feb-13-21  TWH33: Another game versus Bozic at Bognor Regis 1966. Felt crushed during the opening and middle game, but managed to recover after retreating all my pieces. I think he was very disappointed after the game and I was slightly embarrassed at having won it. But, as Napoleon said, faint heart has no value in war or chess.

  Sally Simpson: Hi TWH,

I played Mr. Kitson (not sure if it was Keith) via snail mail in the late 1970's. It was in one of them team events run by CHESS and B.H.Wood. My team 'The Tartan Rooks' won. I noted up the game (A Latvian) somewhere. I'll see if can dig it out.

I enjoyed corres chess. Sending my two move traps all over the world. I represented Scotland in international events a few times but transferring my OTB style to corres chess was never going to work. I lost more than I won.

Good fun though and I did manage to lob a few hand grenades through a couple of letter boxes.
