Feb-16-10  pulsar: <gmjoey> I wholeheartedly agree. You speak with knowledge and authority on this as you are an experienced player yourself. GM Laylo's effort might be lost in the unforgiving statistics, but we who support him know better than that.

Mabuhay ka, Grandmaster Darwin Laylo!

Feb-16-10  The Eagles: Terrible tournament for Laylo, maybe he is aiding Wesley So in the tournament.

i hope Gm Laylo can recover

Go GM Laylo =)

Feb-16-10  wordfunph: GM Darwin pagpag at pahiyang next time and move on after the tourney..

we support you whatever happens!
Mabuhay si GM Darwin!

Feb-16-10  visaya2english: to be honest and fair to all other GMs or IMs in pinas, sagwa ng resulta mo pre.. ala ka naman palang baon tumambay ka na lang sana sa luneta, tyak tatalunin mo pa si mang willy..
Feb-16-10  jasso: Thank you The Eagles. Not so bad for him. He can lose remaining games and still have the rating above 2500 IMHO.
Feb-16-10  spawn2: <GM Darwin>

it happens to the best of them. Wag mo pansinin ang mga tao na puro panlalait ang alam gawin sa buhay. Move on, there is always tomorrow to look forward to.

Feb-16-10  FamilyTree: very ugly...his play in this tournament...
Feb-17-10  jasso: It seems that Laylo has quit the Aeroflot tournament 2 rounds earlier than expected. He is showing quite unpolite behaviour. But anyway, can you expect anything else from a loser like him? I personally hope that this was his last Fide rated tournament.
Feb-18-10  pinoymaster77: It's a good confidence rebuilding outing
at the Blitz championship in Moscow.

Decent showing of 6pts after 6rounds, holding a 1-1 result with both Mamedyarov and Motylev.

Feb-19-10  jerbits: No doubt, Darwin is a talented player. Naunahan lang talaga but I'm sure he'll be back to his winning form soon!

Leave the past behind Dao and move on!

OBIT: They told Darwin to lay low after he published his book on the theory of evolution, but he wouldn't listen...

HeMateMe: Eric Clapton wrote a song about it.
Feb-19-10  tedceldor: Ganon talaga pag minamalas. At isa pa di biro ang Aeroflot at malalakas talaga ang mga players. Bawi na lang sa sunod Darwin.
Feb-19-10  wordfunph: Darwin wala yan...wag mong intindihin mga detractors.

our support for you will never ever fade...tandaan mo yan GM Darwin!

Mar-01-10  pinoymaster77: Its also a test of character,GM with that tough experience at Aeroflot, getting upset by a kiddie in the early rounds in the All in Sports, and then still bouncing back in the next rounds to still finish with 7/9!

Looking forward to a renewed Laylo in the BOGM in Dapitan, coming soon in 2 weeks' time.

Mar-03-10  pinoymaster77: Congratulations on being tapped as elite athlete for the Asian Games!

Hope the allowances are received on time.

GO FOR THE GOLD!!

Mar-23-10  pinoymaster77: Hope you start bouncing back and regaining the confidence in the Davis Cup this Sun, that is blitz but more on confidence rebuilding.
Sep-11-10  asianwarrior: The coming Olympiad is the best chance for GM Laylo to show that he is back in his winning form.
Sep-11-10  spawn2: He has shown with his good performance in the recent Campo Cup that he has prepared long and hard for the coming Olympiad. For the team to land in the top 20, GM Darwin must contribute and am sure he will. Go Team Philippines!
Sep-11-10  SugarDom: Darwin is a contradiction. A grandmaster who studies little and do not read chess books...

I've heard is now studying 2 hours a day for the Olympiad. That's a lot for him already...

Sep-11-10  wordfunph: Darwin will be a key for RP Team, we know him that when he's hot --- he'll dump all his opponents with ease.

go GM Darwin "Bulldozer" Laylo!

Sep-24-10  tagaDubai: Ayus ang kuha mo dito ah. hehe..

http://ugra-chess.com/sites/default...

Go RP Team!

Sep-24-10  wordfunph: thanks <tagaDubai>! galing ng kuha ni Bulldozer!
