alexmagnus: Heh, in the next round we see Germany1 vs Germany2. As far as I understand, Klek vs Hannes and Osmanodja vs Endress

A pity it's not other way around, I'd pay for a Klek vs Endress matchup :). But OK, the way it is we get "Hanna vs Hannes" :)

alexmagnus: Tiebreaks are calculated. Final standing:

1.Poland
2.<Germany2>
3.Germany1.

Hanna's TPR: 2067. Her teammate, Filiz Osmanodja, managed to somehow pull off a 2329 TPR btw (that being rated 1954).

alexmagnus: <whiteshark> Hanna will play in the World Youth Championship in November. Guess it's not rarely the German Chess Federation doesn't nominate the best player in the age category for the European competition. I actually remember only two occasions of her participating in European Youth championships - 2005 (when she was second in her age group in Germany) and 2008 (when she had to skip the WYCC because of Olympiad). Normally she doesn't take part in them, playing only the WYCC.
Sep-02-09  whiteshark: Dks, <alexmagnus>! That adds it up. :D

alexmagnus: Apparently Hanna is the 6th highest rated player in the field (behind Samigullina (2173), Lach (2158), Efromski (2150), Saranya (2146) and Sadvakasova (2084)). That rises big hopes for landing a significantly better place than in previous WYCCs.
