Here, white (HMK) to move. Looks like she is fighting for draw, but the opponent has to be careful - which he wasn't:

65. Rb5+ Be5? 66.Ke3 (threatening f4 gxf3 Kxf3 and ultimate trade down on e5, with a draw) Kf6? (trying to get out of the pin - but losing control of the important f4 square) 67. Rxe5 Rxe5+ 68. Kf4! (here it is, the f4 square. The rook is lost for nothing. Here black could have resigned, but they made some moves more) Ke6 69. Bxe5 h5 70. Bc7 Kd7 71. Bc6 Kc6 72. Bd8 Kd5 73. Bh4 1-0.

alexmagnus: A total 50% score on the Germany-Poland match (+2 -2 =1). Not bad considering all her opponents but one outrated her (ironically, one of the two losses was to that one, while she drew against her highest rated opponent, Monika Socko (see the game above).

28.Nxd4?? Bxd4 29. Qxd4 Rd6!, and the only way to prevent back rank mate is to give up the queen...

The position before the blunder was anyway bad (but not resignable) though. Hope it gets better in the next rounds.... Go Hanna!
