alexmagnus: 0-4 against Armenia today... Without Hanna's participation.
Nov-16-08  Karpova: But Hanna will play today (Endress gets a rest) - her opponent will be Kazimova Narmin Nizami qizi (2171). http://chess-results.info/tnr16315....

alexmagnus: <Karpova> You are an Endress fan, no? I saw at her page - you are the sole poster there, just like I am here :). Good games from her so far. But now it's Hanna Marie's turn ;)

Today's Klek-Kazimova game should be intresting. Wish Hanna does her best.

Nov-16-08  Karpova: Yes, I use her page to present the results of the tournaments she plays in.

I wish Hanna the best also but the fourth board is quite tough. Anna's opponents were 100-200 points higher rated and Kazimova is also strong. But Hanna will surely profit from facing such tough opposition.

Nov-16-08  whiteshark: <Karpova>, are you in Dresden these days?
Nov-16-08  Karpova: <whiteshark> No, I'm not in Dresden.

Klek will have the black pieces.

  alexmagnus: ...And she lost :((

Obviously overlooked the sac on f6. Good game before that mistake (Qd7 and Rxc3), which was decisive...

alexmagnus: Today both Hanna and the team lost (1.5-2.5 against Mongolia). Weirdly both 20xx players in the team, Endress and Klek, lost to their 19xx rated opponents (Enxtuul and Minhchuluun respectively). Schöne won her game, Mader drew hers.

alexmagnus: The German Youth Championship starts tomorrow (or, iiuc, tomorrow is the opening ceremony). But the official site of it still has no list of participants.. OK, Hanna plays in the U14 "boys'" section but I wonder how high she is seeded and if she is the only girl in the field...
May-29-09
Premium Chessgames Member
alexmagnus: OK the participants list was there, quite "hidden": http://www.dem2009.de/interaktiv/an.... Hanna is the only girl in the field, seeded 7th (of 28 participants) based on both national and Elo rating, 168 points behind the topseed based on national rating and 142 behind the topseed based on Elo. That should be an interesting tournament. But the gap between her and the topseed somewhat surprises me - come to think, two years ago she took 3rd in the boy's (U12)section, against practically the same boys.
