| Apr-20-13 | | WinKing: Are you going to settle yesterday's Ponomariov-Caruana game from round 2?
Ponomariov won that game. |
|
| Apr-21-13 | | Beholder: With Kramnik, Anand, Aronian and Svidler, among others, the Alekhine Memorial is <at least> as interesting as the FIDE Grand Prix. Some betting would be appreciated, I'm sure, as well as a dedicated page for the event. |

 | | chessgames.com: Earlier today we had a database issue which made a number of bets and tickets disappear temporarily. We believe we've fixed the problem and everything is back to the way it was. If you notice anything unusual please let us know--thanks. |
|
| Apr-22-13 | | dakgootje: <ALERT> It appears round 2 of Alekhine Memorial started just now [aka: 1 hour pre chessbookie closing]. |

 | | Chnebelgrind: Yesterday I had Easter and Christmas all in one. First I could double my networth in chessbookie game. And then I got the goods for my 100$gift certificate of the championship leg: All five volumes of Kasparovs "My great predecessors". Again many thanks for that <Chessbookie>! |
|
Apr-24-13
 | | Sneaky: I'm still not sure if Switch made a lapse in judgement or started to feel guilty winning all the time :) Either way, you deserved your prize -- congrats! |
|
| Apr-25-13 | | TITIKIZA: <Chessbookie>. i have made an observation that you made a mistake on double bet for Alekhine. Anand is White pieces and not Black pieces. Please refund our bets |
|
Apr-25-13
 | | Chessgames Bookie: So sorry about that, yes we have to delete bets like that, it's the only fair resolution. To make it up to you all, we put up Alekhine Memorial rd 6: PICK THREE. |
|
Apr-26-13
 | | moronovich: <Chessbookie> It seems like you have closed the betting for Alekhine Memorial premature. The games are to be resumed at the 28th,I think. |
|
Apr-26-13
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <closed the betting for Alekhine Memorial premature> Yes I noticed that, but due to some discussion that occurred last leg I am now of the opinion that it's not good practice to re-open a betting window that has been closed. But take heart, we've opened up three new bets:
Alekhine Memorial rd 6: Aronian-Adams
Alekhine Memorial rd 6: Ding-Svidler
Alekhine Memorial rd 6: Kramnik-Anand
Good luck! |

 | | moronovich: <Chessgame Bookie> Thanks for responding !
But I guess you have set the closingtime for P-3 wrongly. The next round is set to start tomorrow the 28th. |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: Somebody please double-check my work: 8:00am USA/Eastern is the right close time for the Geneva Women's Grand Prix, right? |
|
| May-04-13 | | brankat: Regarding the Women's Grand Prix as it relates to the Bookie game. Round #2: - Kateryna is the FIRST name,
as is
- Olga.
One can hope this will not mess up the betting process. |
|
May-04-13
 | | Chnebelgrind: <ChessgamesBookie> 8:00 am USA/Eastern time is 2:00 pm (14:00) Geneva time. Right. |
|
May-05-13
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <Kateryna is the FIRST name, as is Olga.> My error; but don't worry about the bets being cancelled--if there is only one sensible way to interpret the bet then everything is kosher. |
|
May-07-13
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Sorry there haven't been any bets in the past day or so--we're on pins and needles here waiting for the Norway pairings. |
|
| May-07-13 | | gauer: Do the tie-break rules apply for the winner(s) of the Norway bet? |
|
May-07-13
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <gauer> That's good question--we actually did intend to include our standard rule (that tiebreaks are ignored). The few times that we adhere to tiebreak protocols are in cases such as the US Championship or the World Championship where "there can be only one" applies. In the absence of any objections, we will clarify this now by amending 1st Norway Tournament: WINNER as follows <In the event of a point-tie for first place, the tiebreak protocol of the event will be disregarded for purposes of payoffs, all tickets for players tied for first will be paid.> |
|
May-08-13
 | | Chessgames Bookie: We wrongly listed Grand Prix Geneva rd 5: Kateryna Lahno-Anna Ushenina as a round 6 game and left the betting open too late. All late-bettors have received a refund. Sorry about that. |
|
May-08-13
 | | Annie K.: <Bookie> a payoff on the pick-3 would be sortof very appreciated... ;) |

 | | Sneaky: It's <<< HAMMER TIME >>> baby!!! I bought up all the pick-three's that involved a Hammer victory on the cheap. This one had a nice return: < 1st Norway Tournament rd 5: PICK THREE : Draw-White-Black [cash in ticket] 5 YOU WIN! COLLECT 951 > |
|
May-14-13
 | | Diademas: Since this seams to be the place for bragging rights; I just ended my best streak ever with two connsecutive <pick three> wins winning >1200 Sunday and >3600 yesterday.
My total bets were under 100 bucks each day.
Hoo-ray!!! |
