 | | WannaBe: <chessgames.com> & <bookie> So, there's no wagering on Rounds 5, 6, 7 of Dortmund? =( (If I read your posts correctly...) |
Jun-27-07
 | | chessgames.com: There might be wagering on Dortmund rounds 6 or 7, depending on how soon we get the Summer Leg started. |
| Jun-27-07 | | NakoSonorense: <chessgames.com>: Why am I so bad at this game? I always finish at the bottom. |
Jun-28-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <NakoSonorense> With over 500 players it takes a great deal of luck to find yourself just in the top 10. Don't be discouraged--if you keep playing, one of these legs you're bound get lucky. |

Round 5 of Dortmund!
Mamedyarov-Anand: Anand leads it +1 -0 =1, Anand won the game with white: Anand vs Mamedyarov, 2003 and drew with black: Mamedyarov vs Anand, 2006 Carlsen-Gelfand: Gelfand is undefeated against Carlsen, with +1 -0 =2 (discounting blindfold & rapids, with, Gelfand is +2 -0 =4) Leko-Kramnik: Kramnik leads it with +14 -8 =60 (!) when Leko have white, he is +5 -6 =30 against Kramnik. They have already met 5 times earlier this year, with the Leko vs Kramnik Rapid Match (2007) and the Amber blindfold & rapid. Naiditsch-Alekseev: First ever OTB encounter. |
| Jun-28-07 | | technical draw: Well, I finished next to last again. With a little bit more effort I should be dead last in this Summer leg. |
| Jun-28-07 | | Ragh: <technical draw> I like your off-mainstream way of thinking. Well, finishing dead last too requires considerable amount of effort compared to finishing dead first. Fully agreed. Good luck in your quest. Come summer, we would like to see you holding up the bottom of the bookie's gambling table. |

 | | SwitchingQuylthulg: Yes, it's not easy to finish last - it requires doing really well in the beginning, otherwise you can't get enough loan ;-) If I hadn't missed the start by a couple of weeks I could have done even worse lol :) |

 | | Stonehenge: Hi Bookers, I see you're taking bets for the Aratovsky Memotial. Shouldn't that be Memorial? :-) |
Jul-02-07
 | | WannaBe: I have a question regarding The World and GM Shulman game's move bet... If GM Shulman resigns, does that count as a move? (I'm gonna guess that would 'no'? ) Or will (all) betting tickets be refunded? |
Jul-02-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <Stonehenge> Thanks for the correction.
<WannaBe> If Shulman gives up, we're going to pay off the "OTHER" ticket. |
Jul-02-07
 | | WannaBe: Come On <OTHER>!!! Daddy need a new Pub & Grill!! (Not to mention some new shoes would be nice...) |
Jul-03-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Betting is open on the winner of the Ciudad de Leon tournament. Ciudad de Leon: Winner |
| Jul-03-07 | | d4aggressor: When does leader board get updated? How often? Does your net profit get updated whenever you cash winning tickets or daily? Thanks! |
Jul-04-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <d4aggressor> The leader board gets updated on a daily basis. All bets are automatically included in the results without you having to cash in your winning tickets. |
| Jul-05-07 | | d4aggressor: What are the odds of Ponomariov or Topalov winning? If Ponomariov or even Kasimdzhanov wins(??), I win big! This is my first time playing Bookie game, so I made a few beginner No-No's!! |
| Jul-06-07 | | refutor: Hi Chessgames bookie! I have a suggestion for the next big American open (World Open, National Open, US Open, maybe even Russia's Aeroflot Open) "Number of winners"
Every year it seems like there's a bunch of people who end up tied for first...why not let us bet on it :) |
| Jul-06-07 | | pawnofdoom: Darn I guess I'm not getting that 2000 chessbucks that i wouldn't have gotten if Pono won the tourney |
Jul-06-07
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <d4aggressor: What are the odds of Ponomariov or Topalov winning?> You can see the closing odds for Ciudad de Leon here Ciudad de Leon: Winner Ponomariov's odds closed at 13:1, so a ticket for 100 chessbucks would be cashed in for 1400 if he wins. Topalov's odds are 9:4. Therefore a 100 chessbucks ticket would cash in for 310 if he won. |
| Jul-08-07 | | Bob726: I have an idea for The World Vs Jan Tinnerman. Let us bet before any moves have been made who will win. (e.g. the world wins, draws, or loses) |
