<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 7 Recap **

The plot thickens as <chessmoron> invents another obvious false excuse for missing the last 2 rounds. To nobody's surprise, when he asked for volunteers to take over the scoring duties, it took about 1/10th of a second for someone to step up and keep <OhioChessFan> from another embarrassing round of scoring mistakes. And the beat rolls on as <Switch> still leads in 3 Rankers. The heroic <GE> continues to lead in Bonus Ranker. To the shock of the entire chess world, <OCF> moved to a tie for the lead in #1 Ranker.

In other news, in honor of our esteemed contestant <Penguincw>, <OCF> would like to remind everyone that it is indeed, World Penguin Day. I encourage everyone to click on this link to donate to the preservation of this beautiful creature:

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:...

The contestants breathed a collective sigh of relief as <offramp> finally hit a #1 and lifted his fatwa against this competition. To keep things interesting, Naka has issued a fatwa against <Count Wedgemore> and has vowed to purposely play games to keep <CW> from ever scoring a point in his games in any and all future contests. <Switch> has gotten so confident that he has taken to mocking other contestants' predictions. <juan31> wasn't to be denied the last laugh, though, as he pretended to mistakenly thank <WinKing> for pointing out how bad a pick it was, when really he meant to thank <Winky> for being such a really nice guy, and not like that mean old <Switch> who was laughing at him. <OCF> was worried <Switch> would also mock <lostemperor> for picking a 2 move game, but fortunately <Switch> has a one a day policy of laughing at other people. To be fair, <OCF> went ahead and laughed at <le> who responded, "Salt, <OCF>, go pound, and scored 5 points it did."

It is unbelievable that we're so close to the end of this tournament. The contestants are handling the pressure in an amazing variety of ways. <bubuli> is singing Neil Diamond songs to himself. <Penguincw> emailed Carlsen, begging him to try the wildly successful opening move, 1. b4! <GE> and <juan> are predicting a Mamedyarov win, but saying it in Pig Latin Spanish, just to confuse and laugh at <OCF>. <chessmoron> is going on an exciting vacation to beautiful Lima, Ohio.

We are almost to the end of this thrilling adventure. <Switch>, to <Penguin's> utter dismay, still has a strong chance to win a second consecutive Quadruple Crown. <GE> is getting tired of being the only person who can man up and stop that effort. <OCF> admittedly just got lucky a couple of rounds but still has dreams, futile dreams surely, but dreams regardless of snatching a gold away from <Switch>. <chessmoron> wisely ran from the scoring duties to focus on his predictions. <Penguincw> became the contest's favorite person by making sure <OCF> didn't mess up the scoring this close to the end.

Can <Switch> do it? Can <GE> or <OCF> stop him? Would <Penguincw> actually pencil whip the results to make sure <Switch> can't achieve a historic first that <Penguin> didn't achieve first? Was that a plot all along by <chessmoron> who tried the same thing with <OCF> earlier, but <OCF> messed it all up in every way imaginable? Who will <offramp> issue a fatwa against next? Who's picks will <Switch> laugh at this round? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other exciting questions. 2 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.

And oh man, if I have to be the guy that <posts> the result saying <Switch> just won a 2nd quadruple crown.

Actually, it would be nice if any of the US Championship (man or woman) people played 1.g3 in one of their games.
