<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: In game look:

Carlsen won quickly against Aronian, in 31 moves. MVL and Caruana drew in 40 moves, much to <OCF's> and <Penguin's> delight. Mamedyarov drew Carjack in 28 moves. Vishy drew Ding in 35 moves. And So-Naka looks very drawish.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 3 Recap **

Magnus Carlsen and <OhioChessFan> are the talk of the Chess world, as those 2 lead their respective contests. <OCF> continues to make crazy guesses that come through, to the point he's now atop all 4 Rankers. As he climbed the podium for Bonus Ranker, <OCF> looked at <Count Wedgemore> and yelled, "How do you like me now, Big Boy? Oh, am I screaming? GOOD!" <Winky> continues to get like triple lucky or something and is tied for the lead in Moves Ranker and #1 Ranker. <Penguincw> also shares the lead in #1 Ranker. Though we're only 1/3 of the way through the tournament, <Penguin> is nervous someone else might join the exclusive Quadruple Crown Club.

In other news, <juan31> was banned from the playing hall when he tried to slip an extra Pawn on the board for Carlsen to use against Caruana. <wordfunph> and <WinKing> appear to have a budding bromance going on at the ChessBookie Emporium. Whispered murmurs about exotic and erotic gambling left the other contestants a bit embarrassed. <Penguincw> commented, "Exotic, erotic, they're both neurotic. Hey, that kind of rhymes. You know, that reminds me of the time when...." Unfortunately, everyone in the immediate area fell asleep at that point, so the rest of <Penguin's> entertaining anecdote was lost to history. <offramp> is going to take tomorrow off to recover from a huge bender, where he tried to drink a dozen of every type of American beer brand suggested to him. <Count Wedgemore> has figured out how to control Caruana's mind, and plans to use that to his advantage the rest of this contest. In a strange development, <WinKing> has appealed to the chessgames.com forum, worried that a bad case of PMS will make people send nasty emails to each other. <lostemperor> has been buying out entire theaters in a vain effort to get the new Solo movie ticket sales to a respectable level.

Our contestants are surely thinking they need to have their eyes checked as they see <OCF> on top of all 4 Rankers. They can do that tomorrow, as a rest day has been called. <WinKing> and <wordfunph> will surely band together to try to defeat <OCF>. <OCF> is hoping a day off will cause <Winky's> like triple lucky or something hot streak to cool off. Can <OCF> continue this impossible to believe hot streak? Will <Winky> continue to be like triple lucky or something? Can <Penguincw> block someone else from winning a Quadruple Crown? Is "Solo" the name of the movie, or an indication of how many people are in the audience? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other interesting questions. Only 6 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.
