<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

OhioChessFan: <redundant> I never noticed that. I had 5 semesters of college German so I have a basic knowledge of the language. I guess the different languages of "time" in the same sentence render it acceptable. Monty Python just doesn't work for me. I like maybe 10% of their stuff.

<Travis> yeah, I remember that version. That guy's name is Terry Stafford. Don't be too hard on him. Nobody can do a song as good as I can. And after all, he wrote the song.

Jun-02-18  WinKing: Looks good <chessmoron> but you have 2 lines for <Golden Executive> in the 'Moves+Bonus Ranker'. You need to remove the one with 14pts.
Jun-02-18  Count Wedgemore: Hey, I scored 2 points in the (# of 1st place UNDER/OVER) this round, didn't I?

So, in total I should now have 3 points in that ranker since I had 1 point going into this round.

I DEMAND A RECOUNT----

Jun-02-18  WinKing: Your right <Count Wedgemore> you should have 3 in the 'Moves Ranker (# of 1st place UNDER/OVER)'. That's one I missed when checking it over.
Jun-02-18  Count Wedgemore: <chessmoron>, <WinKing> It's all good, guys. Just don't let it happen ever again.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 5 Recap **

The crowd in the playing hall was quite subdued earlier today, as the sad news of Ding's withdrawal left everyone in low spirits. But fortunately, <OhioChessFan> was able to revive everyone, as he shocked the sports world by moving back to the top of all 4 Rankers! The excitement was palpable, and everyone was in high spirits-except <Penguincw>, who looked like he'd just heard another Donald Trump speech denying global warming. <amw> continues to share the lead in #1 Ranker. Whining, complaining <Count Wedgemore> is making a big deal out of getting all his #1 picks counted, oblivious to the fact <OCF> requested <chessmoron> purpoesely mess up his closest competitors' scores. Even after missing a round, <Switch> has quietly moved to the Silver Medal position in Bonus Ranker.

In other news, <Winky> embarrassed himself by standing in the middle of the playing hall and screaming "Go, Wesley, go!", even though he wasn’t playing today. <Penguincw> was seen kissing up to the Bookie in hopes of improving his position there, telling him how wonderful he was and what great decisions he made and la de da. Good luck trying that with <chessmoron>. In related news, <Count Wedgemore> is trying to set a new record for highest negative score in the Bookie game. <offramp> was seen collecting aluminin cans to help pay off his debts after betting his life savings on Naka to win against Carlsen. <wordfunph> apparently doesn’t understand that when a player with White wins the game, that means the result is 1-0.

We are more than halfway done(<OCF> figured that out in his head if anyone is impressed). Can <OCF> join <Penguin> and <Switch> in the elite Quadruple Crown Club? Will <amw> make another strong move in Moves and #1 Ranker to thwart <OCF>? Can <Switch> really win a Gold in Bonus Ranker after missing a round? Can we finally get rid of those last few 0's on the scoreboard that are vexing <OCF> so much? Will <Count Wedgemore> regret talking smack to a man who is 7' 6"? (You don't need to stay tuned to know the answer to <THAT> question!) Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other exciting questions. 4 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.

Jun-02-18  Count Wedgemore: <In related news, <Count Wedgemore> is trying to set a new record for highest negative score in the Bookie game.>
