<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 6 Recap **

The crowd was abuzz in Norway today, and for good reason. <OhioChessFan> is still on pace for the coveted Quadruple Crown! And oh yes, Wesley So beat Magnus Carlsen. <OCF> has managed to stagger along without scoring a whole lot of points, but picking his moments to score, in a well thought out plan to win the Quadruple Crown even when he doesn't have his A game. The Moves Ranker still remains close, with 7 players within 11 points of each other, and the #1 Ranker has 6 contestants within one pick of the lead.

In other news, <wordfunph> refuses to believe his hero Wesley So truly beat Magnus Carlsen and has filed a protest with the tournament organizers. Meanwhile, Wesley So publicly thanked <WinKing> for his very public support, as <Winky> stood in the playing hall all day Saturday and Sunday, yelling, “Go Wesley, go!” <offramp> almost missed turning in his picks that round, as he spent all Saturday night trying to find words that rhyme with “Kelvin”. <Penguincw> seems to think that the Moves Prediction Contest will include the cooking competition and is picking Vishy to beat Carsen in 45 minutes. <Count Wedgemore> upset <chessmoron>, which is always a bad move, by mentioning he was the Bookie Champion and came to this contest simply to add to his resume’.

We're now 2/3 of the way through our competition(<OCF> worked that out in his head if anyone is impressed). Can <OCF> stagger to the finish line even though he hasn't picked a #1 in like 7 rounds? Can anyone who is close in the Moves and #1 Ranker make a strong move in the last 3 rounds to snatch those 2 Gold Medals? Will <offramp> keep delvin' into the dictionary to find words that rhyme with "Kelvin"? When will <wordfunph> show up on his hero Wesley So's page to congratulate the Messiah on his outstanding win against Carlsen? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other pertinent questions. 3 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.

eternaloptimist: Hey <OCF>, how's it going? I'm glad to see that u r in 1st place in <Bookie>! The <rhino> got too greedy yet again & dropped down to 3rd & lost a lot of c$. He has done that a lot in the past & keeps doing it; he implodes. As for me, I finally finished in the top 10 for the 1st time in the Summer 2017 leg & finished in 4th place. In the World Championship leg right before this leg, I finished in 9th place. Although in this leg I haven't done that well

OhioChessFan: <eo> I've made most of my money on 2 bets. I don't really put much effort into it. I get how you can watch the odds and play accordingly, but I mostly just pick em as I see em. That's not a recipe for long term success, but I've held up surprisingly well so far.
