<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

OhioChessFan: I'm trying to work this out from Giri's POV. Maybe he had a novelty prepared in the Englisch and Naka derailed it with 3...h6. Otherwise, he played for a draw while essentially needing a win.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 4 Recap **
The crowd was excited as <OhioChessFan> roared to the lead in 2 Rankers. Early leader <amw> continues to lead the other 2. We have close contests in all 4 Rankers as our contestants are determined not to let anyone break contact with the rest of the field.

<OCF> has learned it's not smart to make fun of people who are 7' 6", so he won't mention that <chessmoron> is the only person in the contest with a 0 on the scoreboard. It was rumored that <cm> was going to inist the tournament delay a day while he plotted a better strategy than he's used so far.

In other news, <CountWedgemore> had no such reservations about mocking <Diademas> at the Bookie Parlor. Many fans are hoping for a good catfight erupting there. And <wordfunph> has refused to honor his promise to shave his head if Xiong drew Carlsen, earning him a round of jeers from the crowd.

Will the millions of Elvis fans watching continue to be rewarded by <OCF's> gold medal quest? Will someone be stupid enough to make fun of someone 7' 6" who still has a 0 on the scoreboard? Will <amw> regain his early mojo and make another strong move? Will someone else from back in the pack surge ahead? Will someone have to separate <Count> and <Diad>? Will we have to settle for <word> having a shaved head avatar instead of shaving his head? <cm's> request to take a day off was granted by the tournament organizers, and wisely so. You don't want to upset someone who's 7' 6" and still embarrassingly has a 0 on the scoreboard. Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other pressing questions. 9 rounds to go in our scintillating contest.
