| Jun-18-06 | | brankat: <WannaBe> Congratulations!! I've been waiting for the result of the 4th game this whole evening. Checked on the Official Tournament site, and this guy seems to be over 1,300 ELO! As for the game itself, there will be time for analysis, for now: All's well that ends well! With still 2 more games to go You have already done better than last year. Honestly, I feel like I'm playing there myself.
I'm proud of You. Focus for tomorrow and keep it coming! Good luck! |
| Jun-18-06 | | you vs yourself: <WannaBe> Congratulations on your second win! Good luck for tomorrow's game. |

| Jun-18-06 | | EmperorAtahualpa: http://mysite.verizon.net/jyu1/Nati... <WannaBe> I guess you're going to put this picture above your bed, right? :) And I must say you have very aptly titled that picture too.. :) Anyway, very nice pictures, mate. It looks like you had a lot of fun! |
| Jun-18-06 | | Open Defence: <Wannabe> geez I kept looking for long ears and a fluffy white tail in those pictures... :-D |

| Jun-18-06 | | mahmoudkubba: Is Paragway the team that won the champion oneday earlier than the 50s? or I am mistaken? Also I suggest that Argenteena won this time or Brazil as usuall and as usual in not telling the real result(s) and the real champion(s). |
Jun-18-06
 | | TheAlchemist: In 1950 Uruguay won, maybe that's what you mean |
| Jun-18-06 | | mahmoudkubba: I can see within my feelings that the real result of Brazil – Australia might be not the right one distributed through the world far of the green yard. It is possible that it is 2-1 to Australia or any other thing. Waw What a feeling I'm having. But not assured of it this time at all. In fact I do remember two games that Iraq participated in in different times both for championships of football one Australia-Iraq ended 3-2 to Australia and the other China-Iraq ended through media as 2-0 to China yet we founded out later on that the real result was 2-1 to Iraq against China. From that were these feelings originally came in from. In fact I till this moment didn't / don't understand very well why the result(s) some times were veiled especially in officially football matches, Olympiads or professionals? Revised. |

 | | WannaBe: <EmperorAtahualpa> Good eyes, you noticed how I name my pictures. =) The original caption on the web-site was going to be "Beauty and the Beast (Beauty on left)" But I changed my mind at the last second... =) Thank you everyone, for your kind posts and everything, final score for <WannaBe> is +3 -3 =0, one of the win is a forfit (Game 6, so no PGN). I had to wait 60 min. before the score can be registered. <DrDum>'s final score is 2.5 so I out-pointed him. =) I noticed that we were down for for a while, so here is the PGN for Game 5, which is an opening I've never seen before. | | WannaBe: I won one of the 5 upset prize!!!! So did <WhiskeyRebel>!!!!! So I only finished 3/6, but I had a lot of fun, met some new CG.com members, and did not win money prize, but as one of the 5 upset winner, I got a set of Lev Alburt books, (that'll keep me occupied for about 6 months). And I did out point <DrDum> =) That'll allow me some bragging rights for the next few months. I want to thank everyone for their help/support at the forum and on FICS for the practice games. =) I'm going to have meet and have breakfast with <suenteus po 147> before going back to L.A. Will update the picture page when I get home. To everyone, thank you, and <brankat> your christmas card should arrive soon. <Legend> I got a surprise for you. =) |
| Jun-19-06 | | brankat: <WannaBe> Congratulations on Your fine score. We'll talk again when You come back. Btw, I've opened my Forum. Hope to see You there. Lev Alburt is a very good author. |
| Jun-19-06 | | Swapmeet: Well done! |
| Jun-19-06 | | brankat: <WannaBe> In regards to Your 5th round game, it is sometimes referred to as: Uncommon King's Pawn Opening. Depending on how it proceeds after the 5th move(or so) it can by transposition turn into a variation(s) of Reti's Opening or even the French. In this game it was necessary for You to play <5.Bd3> and the White generally has better chances. |
| Jun-19-06 | | Zebra: <Wannabe> Congratulations on your results! As far as I know the weird opening in game 5 is known as the Owen Defence or English Defence. As <Brankat> says, Bd3 is white's simplest way of holding things together. |
| Jun-19-06 | | Robin01: <WannaBe> The pictures were great. I love the tournament director! LOL Sounds like you had a lot of fun and even managed to win some chess games!:) |
| Jun-19-06 | | YouRang: <WannaBe> I enjoyed your photos - thanks for sharing them. :-) Good luck in your match with Topalov! Here's a tip: When you have White, open with 1. f4 -- Aronian used this to beat Topalov earlier this year.
Aronian vs Topalov, 2006
Then, try to resist playing 2. Kf2!?
Beyond this, you're on your own. |

 | | WannaBe: Final pictures are up, the new ones are on part (page) 3. =) |
| Jun-19-06 | | brankat: <WannaBe> Beautiful pictures in Part III, especially the one of Susan & You. You 2 make a nice couple:-) She probably wore high-heels to have a better view of the boards:-) As for the big purse/bag, that's where the computer was hidden! |
| Jun-19-06 | | buscher07: <WannaBe> Good job! |
Jun-19-06
 | | WannaBe: Again, please allow me to thank everyone.
I then wish to thank the academy, my agent, my hair dresser (if I have one, as my pictures can prove), my director, my mom, my sister, my dog (if I have one), my .... blah blah blah blah blah. (Start orchestra music. =) |
| Jun-19-06 | | NakoSonorense: Aight, i'll be the antagonist. Bad pictures, wannabe. You suck at taking photographs. :) Hey, nice shirt. Where'd you buy it? |
| Jun-19-06 | | buscher07: Hmm, I liked the pics. |
| Jun-20-06 | | brankat: <WannaBe> Since You were away for a few days you couldn't do much kibitzing around here. When You have time check The Cafe, pages 2246-2249, the posts by a user <crptone> and some related responses by others. I found it totally hillarious. I think You will find it quite interesting as a professional matter, since You are an expert comp. programmer Yourself. |
