<Mark> I never knew the extent of this stalking incident until I read all your recent posts on it the last few days.

As I mentioned to you in an email years ago, something similar happened to me to the extent that my parents had to change our phone number- which they blamed me for, perhaps rightly. But it scared the crap out of me and I made sure never to use any real information online ever again.

But how on earth did he get your phone number? To this day I don't know how my stalker got my parent's phone number which I don't even think was ever on my computer. Even though I've been in Korea for the last 10 years now, I still think about it.

Anyways I hope you succeed in stopping your stalker.

  offramp: Dear chessgames.com.
My favourites list has just spilled over onto its second page.

All the favourites are in the same colour, a slightly bilious teal. https://drawception.com/pub/panels/... Is there a future plan that would allow us to assign different colours to different favourite users?

That would be so cool!
Peace!☮☝☘

Apr-10-16  zanzibar: I don't know, the timing might be bad, or maybe <CG> would like the change of pace...

I've looked fairly hard for a game by Herman Lehner, an important Austian chess editor.

For instance, it's thanks to his publication of the <Vienna (1882)> games that we have the record we do of this tournament.

Yet, because <CG> has none of his recorded games, there is no bio page for him. Miron Hazeltine is another example of an important figure needing a page, despite a lack of recorded game.

Can <CG> accommodate creating pages for such people?

If necessary, we could use one of Lehner's published compositions, which I suppose could be repackaged as a pseudo-game:

(White to mate in 4)

click for larger view

2bBk2N /1p1pP3/1P1P2p1/4P1p1/2P2pB1/5Kb1/6N1/3R4 w - - 0 1

It's actually a fairly cute little example of super-clearance.

Apr-10-16  MarkFinan: You can change my username Daniel, right? I don't care about the posts, I'm not stupid and I've nothing to hide.....apart from my <real name>! Why? Well take a good guess Sherlock. I want my username changed to <MimimimiNuno> or something like that, I just want my real name off this site so I don't get any more stalkers, the posts themselves are irrelevant. Only the other week I realised I had a shed load of messages from <quantum conscious> (btw. What happened to his other usernames? That's right, you erased them!) so I don't want any more messages like that. I'm not comparing <qc> to Keyser Soze in any way shape or form I'm just trying to get it into your head why I want my real name erased from chessgames dot com.

And please don't email me because I want a public answer. Only a few months ago you wiped the <Travis Bickle> handle along with all his posts yet above you say you stopped erasing usernames because of Kkderek. You're a liar and I want an answer. If you think I've anything to hide then LOL. How are you not getting this?

chessgames.com: <MarkFinan: You can change my username Daniel, right?>

Feel free to resume this conversation via email.

If you and Keyser don't cease using this forum for your cage-match I'm going to have to solve this problem by putting you both on probation.

Apr-10-16  MarkFinan: How's about you start by erasing the <Bubba from AG> username you know full well he created, it's been there for a year! And I've said everything via email and in this forum and you haven't answered my email this week so I'd much prefer you answered my questions right here.

Apr-10-16  zanzibar: I like Olives! Green, black or brown, pitted and unpitted, I likes 'em all.
Apr-10-16  zanzibar: I always thought games were sorted by date, but I guess I'm wrong:

http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches...

Take the first two games - why is R20 sorted before R3?

The date and <CG> gid both would put R3 on top.

Lag time up to one minute to navigate cg.com-

7:48 pm Korean time, desk top computer on chrome.

<Daniel> when do you think you will have the new server up and running reliably? If this is only me experiencing this chronic lag time, please email me ok?

Remember before a few times it was something to do with Korean IP addresses, when I was the only member reporting chronic lag times.

Apr-11-16  MarkFinan: I just received your email Daniel and I'll reply to you later tonight because I'm busy. I'll explain everything later.

chessgames.com: We have a number of games from Sergievskiy Memorial Rapid (2016) taking (took?) place in Cheboksary, but we're unclear on most of the details (# of rounds, time control, format, etc.) and nobody around here can read http://ruchess.ru/

We do know games can be seen live at http://ruchess.ru/online/2016/chebo...

Apr-11-16  zanzibar: <chessgames> First, go to google translate and translation <Sergievskiy Memorial> to Russian, do the same for <chess> and put the three together for a google search:

<Сергиевский мемориал шахматам>

This gives the following link:

http://www.ruchess.ru/news/all/v_ch...

Which gives this info (again, google translated):

There Grandmaster Alexander Motylev gathered a huge audience, which consisted of 90% of the girls. And how could it be otherwise in an institution with such a wonderful hymn: You are not vain like native people - emits bright light of knowledge. Flourish in the same noble Our Chuvash University!
