| Aug-24-19 | | WinKing: Yesterday & all this morning running very slow. |
| Aug-24-19 | | thegoodanarchist: < morfishine: I sent an email to chess@chessgames.com three days ago, and haven't gotten a response> Next time try sending it first class ;) |
Aug-24-19
 | | OhioChessFan: I had the same issue with being very slow yesterday and this morning, but it's been okay today after 1300 chessgames.com time. |
| Aug-24-19 | | Count Wedgemore: What <OCF> said. Therefore, since it's been the same problem in Ohio and Norway, I'd venture to guess it's been the same everywhere. Probably a <CG> server issue. |
Aug-24-19
 | | Annie K.: Yes, sorry folks. We know, and we're working on it. |
Aug-24-19
 | | OhioChessFan: It would be nice if the Review Game page for Live Games had the Computer Move Analysis and Computer Game Analysis links grayed out. Or even better, those functions work on a Live Game. |
Aug-24-19
 | | Annie K.: During the game, there is usually a "Stockfish Analysis" button right under the Review Game link. |
| Aug-25-19 | | morfishine: Why does the description of the Sinquefield Cup start out with "The 7th Snoozefilled Cup"? |
Aug-25-19
 | | Diademas: <morfishine: Why does the description of the Sinquefield Cup start out with "The 7th Snoozefilled Cup"?> That's actually hilarious. Please don't change it! |
Aug-25-19
 | | Annie K.: :) We will, but there's no hurry about it... ;) |
| Aug-25-19 | | morfishine: <Diademas> Yeah its funny, but a little tacky considering the sponsor's generosity? And not entirely true either, some of the games have been exciting nail-biters |
Aug-25-19
 | | Diademas: <morfishine>
Fair enough. Let's go for Annie's solution. |
Aug-25-19
 | | OhioChessFan: There's a Stockfish analysis button, but I got to the game a few moves after Vishy apparently missed a winning chance on his 24th move. I wished there'd been a chance to run that through the on-site Stockfish. Not the biggest deal in the world, but it'd be nice to be able to do. If not, the two links I mentioned should be grayed out. I realize that's a copy of a typical game page without the functionality of Game or Move analysis, but it shouldn't be too hard to make one or the other happen. <Snoozefilled> You can figure out who did it, and when. The fact cg.c has left it up this long tells me they approve. |
Aug-26-19
 | | Annie K.: <Ohio> the move analysis works. When you press the Computer Move Analysis button, you have a box to fill in the move you want analyzed. If you don't fill the box in, it will analyze the most recent move, but if you do fill it in, it will work even while the page is in review mode accompanying the live relay. |

Sep-05-19
 | | Tabanus: <CG> The 127 non-TI games of Russian Women's Championship (2006) should have Event = Russian Championship Higher League (Women). Either you in one fell swoop, or me one by one game. |
Sep-05-19
 | | Annie K.: <Tab> done, sorry for the delay, and promoted to TI. Next time you would like a name change for a non-TI event, please just provide one example game from it, that's all I need. :) |
Sep-05-19
 | | Tabanus: Thanks Annie! Now I finally know how to find tid for non-TI games :) |
Sep-06-19
 | | Tabanus: <Annie> If you would upload the 104 submitted RUS-ChW games 2006 & 2008, I would be even more "on cloud 9". Btw the Russian Championship Higher League (Women) (2006) (2006) (oops, 2006 two times) has 127 games out of 162 available. I may submit the 35 missing ones too. |
Sep-06-19
 | | Annie K.: <Tab> submitted where? I don't see them in the upload queue. If you sent them by mail to the main cg address, please send them to mine instead. Alternatively, you could simply upload them directly to the queue with the PGN Upload Utility. Russian Championship Higher League (Women) (2006) fixed, btw. |
Sep-06-19
 | | Tabanus: <Annie> I sent them to CG but now to your mail (2 files with strange original names, hopefully the right ones). |
Sep-08-19
 | | Tabanus: Russian Championship Superfinal (Women) (Tiebreaks) (2018) (2018) has 2018 two times. What about a correction slip button also on non-TI events. |
Sep-08-19
 | | Annie K.: <Tab> fixed, thanks. In these cases, just pick any one game out of the event, and submit a correction slip on it, saying that the event name or site need to be corrected. :) |
| Sep-30-19 | | Boomie: <CG>
What happened to Morphy's annotations? (games annotated by Morphy) Stockfish seems to have overwritten Morphy's work. Is this supposed to be an improvement? Does the loss of historical info have any meaning for you? Stockfish is free, you know. We can all run it if we want to see its "thought". |
Oct-01-19
 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Tim> Morphy's annotations are still there eh? Possibly your default <Olga Settings> aren't showing them? You can tell they are from Morphy because he talks about <M'Donnell> in them. I don't think <Stout Fish> knows who <M'Donnell> is. Possibly it can spell the name better though. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
Good heavens it is October!
