Dec-13-12  technical draw: By selectively putting people on ignore I can keep <JFQ> page count at 1,000 for all eternity. Right now it's at 1001. Let's see what happens when I ignore, uh, OCF?
Dec-13-12  technical draw: Ok, drops to 996, so that means that OCF has provided 5 pages to JFQ's 1,000. Wow, this is fun!

Dec-14-12  brankat: Dear Jess,

Please accept my (belated) congratulations!

It is not just the 1,000 milestone, but even more importantly, all that You have done on, and for, this great site in these past 6+ years.

Thank You.

Dec-14-12  Alien Math: Congrats on +1000 pages <jessicafischerqueen> ^.^

Some notes of Yandex search engine,
Yandex Launches Personalized Search Results For Eastern Europe http://searchengineland.com/yandex-...

Yandex has been testing the approach throughout the last year and found that users click 37% more often on a top result which is personalized and save around 14% of the time they normally spend on the SERPS.

They claim this means that the average user saves some 8 minutes a week.

Yandex’s research also revealed that over-personalization is not good for users who don’t want to get “locked in to their own interests.”

Personalization is turned on by default and becomes more useful the more searches a user does. Suggestions are also personalized

Dec-14-12  Travis Bickle: Hey Jessica, are you packing up getting ready to fly home to 'Oh Canada' for Christmas? ; P

Dec-15-12  SugarDom: Are you in Korea now? Quite cold, huh.
