 | | Domdaniel: "Jessee, are you listening ... ?" -- Scott Walker.
Hi Jess, belatedly got your emu and replied to same. Thank you from the bottom of my pump. A wunnerful gesture of friendship and e-generosity, and I'm touched. I've passed thru stages. There's a kind of denial ("Who needs *stuff* anyway?") followed by sharp jabs from the ghosts of possessions that no longer exist and can't really be replaced. Then there's the understanding that all my books, zines, papers, 'puters, discs, etc, were part of an extended nervous system which has been suddenly amputated. I'll go on, though, thanks to friends like you and Annie (and an insurance company playing ball so far ...) Queimada Crowbridge. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Incident at Crow Creek Bridge> by Ambrose Bierce Ok I sent you a surprise. It's via "mediafire" so you just click on the link and then click on the GIANT GREEN BAR that says "download." I sent you an awfully BIG GREEN BOOK so it might take a long time to download. But this book is worth the wait believe me. aroo |

| Dec-23-12 | | Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, here's my favorite Christmas song! ; P

|
| Dec-23-12 | | playground player: <Jessicafischerqueen> Two days early, a Merry Christmas to you and <Mr. JFQ> from <Mrs. PGP> and me. Tomorrow we put up our tree, eat Christmas dinner, and hand out presents. No one would ever mistake me for a Bible expert, but I've read the KJB cover-to-cover as many times as I can. I don't care about the new translations being supposedly better. Every Bible translation has an axe to grind. At least the ones from 500 years ago can't cut us anymore. Besides which, it's wise to give the Holy Spirit scope. I need a vacation, big-time. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Merry Christmas to all of you too!
It's already Christmas Day here and in fact I've been working. There's a 240 page book to be published of all the students' writing and they are holding me personally responsible for editing it. I just finished it now. In Korea they take one day off for Christmas but it's still considered a very minor holiday, despite the fact that upwards of 30% of the population is Christian. The big holidays remain the ancient Korean holidays, notably CHEWED SOCK during which we get five (5) workdays off. |
