| Apr-09-11 | | Travis Bickle: Hi Jess, I forgot to thank you for the detailed responses you gave in my Forum, you Genesis expert you!! ; P |
|
| Apr-09-11 | | bartonlaos: <Greengrass> Why not put a contact info up in your profile as others have done - with separating symbols to prevent bot-spamming? <TheFocus> will be able to contact you that way. |
|
| Apr-09-11 | | Greengrass: <bartonlaos> But what if he doesn't come back in? But I will add: <Focus> <contact me.> But from what I understand from his post at <TD>s Forum, he MAY return. I have talked to his sister who says she will call him today or tomorrow, or leave a voicemail. I did not really understand why he was so profane in some of his postings, but I guess that is what anger does to you. I never heard him utter anything stronger than <damn> in our conversations. |

| Apr-09-11 | | falso contacto: pretty nice that "chess me out" video. lots of Italians. I enjoy karpov's approach as well. |

Yeah - I could possibly do a video ... but first I would have to master the program. (So far, all the stuff I have turned out has been crap. Of course - I am a perfectionist.) I think my vids would differ greatly from my web-based analysis. I would like a chess video to be color commentary ... sort of <ANALYSIS LITE> with the emphasis on a few key tactics ... colored arrows ... etc. What do you think? |

 | | kingscrusher: Hi Jessica
Analysing with Houdini, it seems the Rossolimo vs Livingstone game has a few flaws to it. Here is my analysis with the help of Houdini: [Event "New York"]
[Site "New York"]
[Date "1961.??.??"]
[Round "?"]
[White "Nicolas Rossolimo"]
[Black "Livingstone"]
[Result "1-0"]
[ECO "B01"]
[PlyCount "55"]
[EventDate "1961.??.??"]
1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Qxd5 3. Nc3 Qa5 4. d4 Nf6 5. Nf3 Bg4 6. h3 Qh5 7. Be2 (7. hxg4
Qxh1 8. Ne2 g5 9. Bxg5 Ne4 10. Bf4 Bh6 11. Qd3 Bxf4 12. Qxe4 Bh6 13. Qxb7 O-O
14. Ng3) 7... Nc6 8. O-O Bxh3 9. gxh3 Qxh3 10. Ng5 Qh4 11. d5 Ne5 12. Bb5+ c6
13. dxc6 bxc6 14. Nd5 O-O-O 15. Ba6+ Kb8 16. Bf4 Rxd5 17. Bxe5+ Ka8 18. c4 (18.
Nxf7 Rxd1 19. Raxd1 Nd5 (19... Qg4+ 20. Bg3 Nd5 21. c4)) 18... Qxg5+ 19. Bg3
Rxd1 20. Raxd1 Nd5 (20... Nd7 21. Rxd7 e5 22. Re1 Bc5 23. Kf1 f6 24. Bb7+ Kb8
25. Bxc6) 21. cxd5 c5 (21... e5 22. dxc6 (22. dxe6 Bc5 23. Kg2 f5 24. b4 Bb6
25. Rd7 f4 26. e7 Re8 27. Bb7+ Kb8 28. Bxc6 Rxe7) 22... Bc5 23. Kg2 Qg6 (23...
Bb6 24. Rd7 f5 25. c7 Qh6 26. c8=Q+ Rxc8 27. Bxc8 Qc6+)) 22. b4 c4 (22... f5
23. d6 exd6 24. Rd5 h5 25. Bd3 h4 26. Rxf5 Qg4) 23. Rd4 e5 24. dxe6 Bxb4 25.
Rd7 Rb8 26. Rfd1 Be7 27. exf7 c3 28. f8=Q 1-0
Bascially, White could have played hxg4 early on to try and trap the black queen. On the c4 Queen sac, Nxf7 was far stronger. The essential counter attacking resource revealed by Houdini is the power of e5 followed by Bc5 which actually then threatens Qxg3+ which slows down White's attack considerably as well as setting up possibility of f5-f4 later. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon>- thanks for taking the time to show that to me- and hats off to HOUDINI! I'm answering your post more fully over at your forum. JFQ |

| Apr-10-11 | | Greengrass: <jessicafischerqueen> I talked to <TheFocus> and have to report that he does not think he will return any time soon. And maybe not at all. He just wants to work on his book for now with no distractions. He said to thank you and anyone else that had such kind words for him. If he returns, you will be the first to know.
He also said that he did not leave due to the arguing with <shach> and <KKDEREK>. He considered that to be over when he began putting people on IGNORE. My job here is done. I only came to find him and send him some books. I won't be posting any more. |

There's a fly in the ointment!
User: TheFocus ≈ User: Greengrass IMO no great deal, just a "tool" to escape the hullabaloo, no? all the best for the books |
|
| Apr-10-11 | | Greengrass: <myshkin>
You are wrong. I am not <TheFocus>. I was here last year under another name. Didn't like the site then. Don't like it now either. |
|
| Apr-10-11 | | myschkin: . . .
Might be wrong of cause, can't proof the impression at all! On the other hand you have to admit, that this wouldn't be implausible/unlikely? That's not of vital importance anymore, "we" wish you good fortune /glück auf (in German) :) take care |

| Apr-11-11 | | Bureaucrat: <Jess> It wasn´t you I had in mind in my post at the admin page, although it might have seemed so. The most obvious case was <LF> himself, who got into fights all over the place before asking for help from the admins, playing the victim. |

Apr-11-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <AJ> excellent idea- it's a great way to make a playlist of your own Kasparov analyses and a playlist of your favorite games of him at the same time. Suggestion- when/if a game page "rolls over" and your analysis link is no longer on the current page- repost it so it's at the bottom of the new page. I do that with my chess history links on player and games pages when they "roll over". Wonderful idea to further honor <Garry> and to organize a great spot for links to your analysis pages. Jess |

| Apr-11-11 | | TheFocus: Hello <Jess> Queen of the Site! My Forum is now open again. I guess I am back.
Went snorkelingg nd whale watching. Had a blast! Decided my work here is not done. I appreciate the kind words while I was out. |

| Apr-11-11 | | TheFocus: Glad you liked the book <Endgame..
I just gifted a copy to Bill Nigro to see if he agrees with what was written about Carmine. You did see that it had a picture of Carmine. |

Welcome home.
I did indeed notice the photo of Carmine- and I remember you had the inside scoop that a photo of him was going to be in the <Brady> book. |
