 | | jessicafischerqueen: If they are in cahoots that means they are breaking US Anti-Trust laws and apparently nobody who could do anything about that cares anymore. Unbelievable.
I have dealt with this issue by creating multiple Google Accounts with different information using different Proxy IP addresses. Let them try to target me now. |

| Mar-04-11 | | Thanh Phan: <jessicafisherqueen> Are welcome! glad link went to right person! Also glad you have ways to translate it! One less worry. ~Question still need audio on <Nezhmetdinov>? |
|
| Mar-04-11 | | madlydeeply: well i say the evilest of all is monsanto...they actually send their men in black to intimidate any farmer in podunk iowa who dares to use their own seeds... that is a hella monopolistic behemouth that one there |
|
Mar-04-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Thanh Phan> yes any additional audio resource is welcome- I'm pretty sure I have the right pronunciation for <Rashid Nezhmetdinov> now however. I have downloaded audio of a Tatar native speaker saying <Rashid>, and the phonetic description of <Nezhmetdinov> corresponds exactly to the Google program's audio of the name. In addition, the Google program's audio of various other masters very closely matches the versions sent to me by <Annie K>. <Annie> is a native Hungarian speaker so we know her versions on Hungarian masters is a sure bet. <Annie> also has a Russian native speaker friend who is willing to help her with pronunciations for Russkies. She will pass on the audio to me when she gets enough time. Two things:
There's no hurry on any of this.
Any new resource is worth looking at.
Thanks-Jess 123. |

Yes I'm sure you are right about Monstersanto.
I watched a documentary on that company that attempted to prove they are minions of satan. |

You know I think Google is not fazed by me. They just tweaked something or other and their latest update on IE 7 is now immune to my proxy IP software. I just noticed that today in fact.
Bloody fascists.
However, in the past, the Proxy program usually has found a new way in- In fact, they've been so good at cracking new defences that Hulu Video has given up altogether trying to block them. Hulu surrendered. |

| Mar-04-11 | | cormier: hi <jfq> have a great dat mam ... i'm presently playing on chess for dollards no money involved for fun .... i found this: <Mar-03-11 Deus Ex Alekhina: Before I forget, program your TIVO for 4:15pm, Saturday, EST, CSPAN2, if you want to catch Frank Brady discuss his Fischer book, "Endgame". | Mar-04-11 | | achieve: <Jess> I don't get it anymore- it was quite clear that the admins risked and received "harsh" criticism, for a good reason, while giving us a few answers that seemed to stem the tide, as you hinted at OCF, but I always had my reservations. Quantity doesn't make up for quality. <Stonehenge's> latest post makes me wonder if they actually do still care to adhere to quality, considering the content of stony's complaints regarding Bio's, lousy syntax, wrong dates of birth, etc. ... Anyhoo, it just really bugs me, and reminded me of what you said about pulling the plug by them the other day... Of course that's an exaggerated conclusion, but how far off your scenario are we? There's a discrepancy at the core, as Howard addressed as well a while back, and as long as they do not recruit some additional QUALITY manpower, this will continue to sadden us. In the end it's about personal commitment, priorities, and money. I know that. I'm sick and tired, like stony, of playing the "guessing game." |

Tks mst for the TV heads up! I don't know about the Merry Woman club. How do you join? Best regards to you,

| Mar-04-11 | | morfishine: I came across your interest in classical composers. My favorites are <Vivaldi> and <Mozart>. I have about 30 cd's of their music, and feel these are all a person would want or need to nurture one's soul for a lifetime (notwithstanding the other greats). Morf |

Mar-04-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <morf> they are indeed great composers- but there are so many more to explore. Have you tried <Gabriel Fauré>? Here is his "Paradisium" with a few images of him:

| Mar-04-11 | | morfishine: That was very beautiful. Thank you for showing me that piece. I had never heard of Faure and took some time to look into his background. Quite intriguing his life. I became drawn to the classical composers some years ago and quickly became quite "addicted" to Mozart and soon owned all of his 41 symphonies (much less his concertos). When it became known to me what an influence "Vivaldi" had on Mozart, I had to have his works too. Now I have them all (or most of them). I'll try to find an interesting piece that you may not have heard before.

| Mar-05-11 | | cormier: simple, practical and efficient ... it's a comparasion to Robin Hood's Merry Men ... one who love know how to always stay joyfull(be happy you are loved) and peacefull(this is a peace not understood by any unless it's accepted freely) .... seek the mountain of love, knock at the door of living love, and ask for very good spirit and his free gifts in your heart(being) ..... by,by, tks G |

One of the things I've noticed in my last year of exploring "classical music" is how little many fans know about the history. In particular, it's galling to read posts that "Andrew Lloyd Webber" *wrote* the Requiem Mass. He didn't, of course- he *adapted* a version of it, as did <Faure>, <Mozart>, and many many others. The basic melodies and choral parts stay the same- virtually identical- dating back to the original Mass from the Gregorian era. The titles of the sections, and their order, also remain consistent over time. I'm not against Andrew Lloyd Webber per se, but he did not *write* the Requiem Mass. |
