Aronian - Carlsen at level score as is Gelfand - Kasimdzanov. Rublevsky, Bareev and Adams at +1. |

Jun-02-07
 | | lostemperor: After six exciting rounds these are the match results:
1. Aronian - Carlsen 3-3
2. Leko - Gurevich 3.5-0.5 (Leko +3)
3. Ponomariov - Rublevsky 2.5-3.5 (+1)
4. Gelfand - Kasimdzhanov 3-3
5. Bacrot - Kamsky 0.5-3.5 (+3)

8. Shirov - Adams 3-3
I will count on + scores (+2, +1 +0, -1 etc.). A 4-2 prediction meaning a +2 result for the first player. If that player scores -1, the difference, three points, will be deducted. Three matches going into tie-breakers! (one bonus point for each correct match winner |

| Jun-04-07 | | YouRang: Yes!!! It feels good to be back on top (in good company) after my crash-and-burn in the Mtel final standings contest. Thanks <lostemperor>. |

Jun-05-07
 | | lostemperor: THE PREDICTIONS (details):
Correct prediction Aronian vs Carlsen: <acirce>, <iron maiden> <suenteus po 147> 3*-3 Best prediction Ponomariov vs Rublevsky (2.5 - 3.5): <kellmano> 2-4; <Monteal1666> 3-3* Correct prediction Polgar vs Bareev: <larrewl>, <percyblakeney>, <positionalgenius> 2.5 3.5 Best prediction on Shirov Adams (3*-3): <YouRang> 3.5 2.5; <chessmoron> 4-2 *winning on tie-break
Nevertheless the differences in scores were relatively small. |
|
| Jun-05-07 | | suenteus po 147: <lostemperor> I find it ironic that two big Carlsen fans (and one Carlsen fan in the making) correctly predicted his elimination in the tiebreaks after drawing the match proper. |
|
| Jun-05-07 | | chessmoron: Damn!!! I suck at this prediction even though I was one of the best predictor for a certain series. |
|
| Jun-05-07 | | Dr.Lecter: Bad at prediction, I am. Not even going to try, I am. Have a question, I do, however. Have a prediction contest, didn't <Yourang>, as well? |
|
| Jun-17-07 | | yalie: Dortmund predictions
Anand +2
Mamedarov, Carlsen, Leko +1
Gelfand, Kramnik 0
Alexeev -2
Naiditsch -3 |
|
Jun-18-07
 | | lostemperor: Whoops, I just got back from a two week trip in England and Scotland and only now just see the qualifiers of the second round matches! Gelfand beating Kamsky perhaps being the biggest upset? |
|
Jun-18-07
 | | lostemperor: <Dr.Lecter>, <YouRang> run a games results prediction contest as opposite to a final tournament standings prediction contest I run. This was started by the chessgames.com kibitzers when they started making predictions of Corus 2005. I only provided a service by making a calculating counting system for the predictions. This is the first match prediction contest (together with the Topalov vs Kramnik match predictions). I'm afraid I do better in <YouRang> prediction contests than in mine(!) |
