"Play the board AND the man ! ".
But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.

In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience. As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes, but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves, but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

Mar-01-16  virginmind: There's also Aeroflot open, starting today.

  moronovich: Thanks <virgin> !

Have forgotten about womens match and Aeroflot seems guite monstrous.Kind of hors douvre, while we are attending the Candidates..

Sorry I may have forgotten, but are your profession a lawyer or something simular ?

A little story yesterday:Man to his wife with who he has been married for 25 years :"Today it is the 29th of february so I will reveal a secret as we are allowed to.I have always been colourblind!" Fine answered the wife. And now it is my turn to tell a secret:"I was never from Sweden:I came from Africa". :)

All the best and yes, let us enjoy !

Mar-01-16  virginmind: Haha, a good one! By the way, did you get in Denmarksome of the refugees that have entered in Europe in the past year or so? Here we have almost none - or maybe a few hundred, in total. But we are about to get our share of a few thousands soon.

I used to be a lawyer, teach students in law and do research for some 28 tears. Lately I've concentrated only on research domain, as it allows me to choose from a wider range of law related issues - multidisciplinary stuff, like sociology of law, philosophy of law or judicial psychology.

All the best to you too!

Mar-03-16  virginmind: So Hou won the full point today, with a nice finish, albeit on a lingering time trouble for Muzychuk. I've caught the last 30-40 min on the live video with the analysis of the three on the studio. Let's see if the latter will be able to strike back.

Good night.

  moronovich: Good evening !

A good day at the acupuncturist yesterday. At least it seems there is some (knock wood again;)release. And I have added a new cure wihich says:No homerollers before 13.30 and in this way I have halved the amount during the last week and it releases some energy and more.Quite a win-win,but it also takes a lot of discipline and several funny dialoques between Tobacco me and the other moron ;)Funny stuff if I could tape it too you !

Yes,not much resistance from Muzychuk and I doubt she will be able to strike back and fear it is over in the next 3-4 games.

<research domain,>

And could you please explain what this means myenglish has some flaws.

A good nigh to you as well !

Soon it is AGAIN time to wish you a good weekend.Time flies.

Mar-04-16  virginmind: Hi,

vendredi de nouveau et on est en cours to embark on yet another trip to the city where my grand father and the rest of my wife's family lives. This time we gonna stay until Sunday as yesterday were 28 years since I've first met my wife and we want to go to a nearby mountain resort for the occasion.

Great, halving tobacco daily ratio is an excellent choice, and if it comes along with the ease of your dizziness condition it's even better! I sure hope it will last you long and maybe soon the day will come when you will say good bye for good to your tobacco friend, and maybe also the dizziness will go away forever.

Research domain is the field of study/research for someone (a researcher, like me) who works in this domain. His place of work is in a university or (like my case) in an institute of research. It's a specialised activity, meaning you choose a field of research (or domain) and start specialising in it, trying to discover all of its intricacies and also to find ways to make it better or more adequate to human needs. No big deal.

Today a pause in Lvov, and I don't know if in the weekend I will get to follow the games, but I wish you have an excellent time doing it. And maybe also a meeting with one of your good friends and some pints....:)

Au revoir!

Thanks for your kind words.Et jésper gue vous deux aller avoir une weekend romantique au montangnes.28 years are a lot to celebrate !

I think I know more about research domaines now...

All is well here.Nothing new to write about and that is not a bad sign ;).Many things in life to be gratefull about...

And may you enjoy the Mountains et a bientot!

"Time passes slowly, right up in the Mountains.." Robert Zimmerman.

Mar-06-16  virginmind: Back.

Well, they were not quite mountains, but close enough (as hight), and an excellent air to breathe, also with quite a few springs with healing waters around. Everything was find, weather included (especially the second day).

We're back this evening just to find out the last two rounds were draws in Lvov, but quite exciting, at least the one from today. Gonna replay it soon. Meanwhile, the Candidates series are getting closer, we already feel the air of special long afternoons/evenings...:)

Hope you had a great weekend too!

  moronovich: Good afternoon !

Glad to hear you two had a very fine weekend with all the fresh air and water ! Could be the beginning of nice period !?

And yes my weekend was fine.Still being strickt with the halving the nicotine.Still, sometimes in the morning,I have to use a big discipline. Important to show the tobaccomonkey WHO is the boss...;)

Aeroflot is getting closer to the finnish line and it looks like a tie for the moment. But the heat is on,contrary the ladies who enjoy(?)a rest day.

<Meanwhile, the Candidates series are getting closer, we already feel the air of special long afternoons/evenings...:)> Spot on ! the beforementioned is just a warm up :)

See you up the road.(which is an expression I borrowed from Springsteen, who my wife is going to see when he comes to Denmark, lucky bastard).

Et,a bientot.

Mar-08-16  virginmind: Hi, it has been quiet and business as usual around here of late, that doesn't mean that everything was alright in my mind. All sort of conflicting thoughts wandered in it and, after one or two blitzes on Playchess, the innevitable headache, followed by 2 halves of Panadol. Weather has been rather fine, again, and my mood generally followed it in the afternoon.

I didn't sleep as we were waiting for a (possible) visit from my 2 nieces, which in the end didn't happen. When it was clear that they will not arrive, we made ourselves confortable, watched tv a bit, then I checked with Lvov and found out it was a draw. Waiting for another half our to pass before watching/listening on Mezzo to Bruckner, Mozart (Jansons) and, after that, the 6th of Malher. Cool evening ahead.

What about you? Did you get to follow live today's draw in Lvov? Was it as exciting as the last one? Looking forward to read that interview with P.H. Nielsen you were telling me about. And I wish you a good hold on that morning discipline against nicotine :)

  moronovich: Evening <virginmind> !

Juat a short note as wife is making a shrimpdish after a good visit at the "needleman" and CHL waiting in the background. And candidates feels far away but isn´t ;)

I have a excercise that sometimes Work against headache:Sitting on a chair. So relaxed as possible and same with Deep breathing.Lift the legs(while sitting)AND bow the feet from groundposition to upwards. You can feel it in your muscles.Especially the legs,or perhaps also in the spine and upwards.Lower the legs and relax. And lift(When you feel like, typically after 15-25seconds)Especially the feet are the most important to bow.6-12 times(this movement) should do.

This excersise is mainly for preventive reasons=best before the headache may arrive.

Wife shouts about the dinner and Ìll be back, most likely tomorrow. And wish you all the best !

A bientot

Mar-10-16  virginmind: Morning,

poor Mariya, she didn't see what was hidded behind that rook swap in the end of the last game (or she thought she had her own threat with that knight&rook combo? it just didn't work, unfortunately) and now with 2 points ahead who's gonna stop Hou from getting back the world crown?

Thank you for offering that exercise, I will try it, but basically Panadol works just fine for me, since some 20 years. How was the shrimp dish? :)

  moronovich: Good almost noon !

<it just didn't work, unfortunately) and now with 2 points ahead who's gonna stop Hou from getting back the world crown?> no,one I am afraid ):

And the shrimpdish (with pasta and tomatoes) was very good as was the match between Chelsea and PSG.A lot of tension and evenly matched, but PSG has Zlatan,my conutry´s bette noire.

House is filled with women tonight,so it gonna be downtown with PK and 3-4 pints. We haven´t seen each other in 10 weeks and his father has just passed away...so a lot of catching up to do.

24 and 1/2 hours to the candidates...

Also interesting to see if the expectations are too big beforehand or if reality matches.

Soon weekend again ;)

Take care and see you soon !

Mar-11-16  virginmind: Hi there!
Less then 4 hours before the first move in Moskow. Can you feel the heat already? :)

Did you read the article on Fischer on Chessbase news? It's clear that Nemenyi was his father - just look at his face!

Mar-11-16
Premium Chessgames Member
  moronovich: Hi you !

Yes I can feel the heat ! And a part of it is thatI dont know for shure if they start 12.00 or 14.00 CET and have to go to the(real)bookies. So I´ll do bussiness as if it is 12.00.:)

Anyway we can look forward to almost 3 very exciting weeks !But haven´t got time to see the Fischer article, but his disturbed life could very well indicate conflicts and confusion about the origin of his real father.

See you soon and let us enjoy the whole thing !

HOKA HEY.

Mar-11-16  virginmind: I think it's neither: Playchess says the first round will be played at 3 pm local time - that is 2 pm Bucharest time and 1 pm Copenhagen time.
Mar-11-16

moronovich: Thank you very much !

And wauw, this Nemenyi certainly looks like his father."Snydt ud af næsen" as we say in danish."Dropped out of the nose", could be the english translation.

  moronovich: Good evening !

And off we are...And Anand (like this and Anand sound ;)is in the lead. Was just in time to put money on him,not a bad start at the bookies. But strange to me that Topa didn´t play 20-Bxf2+,just the kind of move he would´t have missed in his heydays.Or am I too armchaircomfortable ?

Mixed feelings if he will prevail, unless he actually beats Carlsen, nest pas ? Tomorrow we may have more insigth as the first day often is rather drawish. What do you think of the studio and the transmission ?

Once again : I wish both of you a fine weekend and loking forward to see the players in action tomorrow and to hear your rapport from the tournament !

All is well and all the best.

(dont know how to make those blue letters ).

Mar-12-16  virginmind: Hi, not much of a report for the round, sorry, as I've only sparsely followed it, for some reason. It's getting cold&rainy here, and they say it's gonna stay like that for most of March - don't know what's going on with this mother nature. So my mood follows the clouds outside, not being able to closely watch a game and get its intricacies. Is it an age thing? Heck, I'm not even 52, I'm still young! Or sort of, heh.

When did you start smoking? And, please remind me, what did your father say when you decided to quit school and go for a trip around the world on that ship? Or rather, he was the one suggesting you that? How old were you, 17? And, if you don't mind: what didn't you particulary like about school? (What's to like? - is an answer popping through my mind, and you would be right, but I just need some details).

Mar-12-16
Premium Chessgames Member
  moronovich: Mornning <virginmind> !

Well it was my stepfather and mother who said I should take hire on the ship as I got no grades at the school. As I never liked to do my homework. Was more interested in girls, sports, and ideas about how to make the world a better place as I didn´t believe in the systems/the way we industrialized/poluted the world. My heart was more like a native North American indian. But I loved my classmates and generally the teachers. So a big trip with the boat was a unique opportunity, though I was forced to.And I think I seized the moment and got something of deeper value for the journey called my life. Yes it was at the age of 17 and smoking started 1 year earlier at a kind of high school (gymnasium).

So after 3 ships and almost 1 year I had different kind of jobs, went to another gymnasium but the some of the story repeated it self, got a kind of breakdown(were smoking actually helped me further)and went to France in the early spring of 72,working with people from all nations.Flee markets. The life of a rag man, collecting all kind of things that could be transformed into money that was going to the tird world. Was rucky to wotk together for a short while with the foundator of these comnunities.A catholic priest called L´Abbé Pierre. The most popular man in France. Who died some years ago.But was vividly remembered all over the country and the world with a last cremony were all kind of kings and presidents from all over the world payed him the last tribute. Meeting him was perhaps the first time in my life I discovered healing in action and working in these communities gave the deepest and innermost satisfaction and meaningfullness.Which fit immensely with my own purpose and choice:to transform this breakdown to doors and windows and opurtunities instead of the opposite.Which succeeded during the years and was a kind of starting point to go deep in meditation, that started in 78.

From France to Italy with an italian friend were I for the firat time got the taste of living like a vagabond for a while. Then hicking back to Jutland the other part of DK were the new life started living with a friend and other people in a house.A friend from the "old" days in 69.Till I met who turned out to be my sons mother and together we finished the graduation and I became champion of the local chessclub.Chesshomework made sense to me ;)

Thanks for asking. This was the short version and I hope you get some pictures/sense from this journey.

Now I have to leave, but will soon be back.

Hope you will get in the mood for todays games !

All the best-moro.

Would prefer to tell you this story face to face and who knows if one day my dizziness will lower or diasppear !?

Mar-12-16  virginmind: Thank you for sharing your story. Your life was completely different from mine. I was doing what my parents told me, just like everybody around: school and then university etc. The only problem was/is that I've kept doing what I didn't like. Probably too scared of real life to start doing what I like. It's funny, come to think of it. Funny and boring and sad if you like. It's just a living.

Yes, second round due to start in about an hour and, who knows, maybe today I'll give it some more time. Chess is such an extraordinary thing...

See you soon.
