Hello all,
I joined CG as an administrator, editor & front-end developer. I will start helping CG with administrative/editor tasks such as making sure tournaments and their bio's are complete and up-to-date, reading forums to help list and prioritize tasks at hand.

Nov-10-22		Stonehenge: I need to change the dates from round 1-8 but then it says <ERROR: Please make the event information more compact.> This has always been a problem. I've changed the event tag but this does not reflect in the PGN. If you download these games it still says this <[Event "52. Miedzynarodowy Festiwal Szachowy im. Akiby Rubinsteina - OPEN A (od 1800)"] crap. There are more of these problems, like merging players. Example: when merging Fiktor Cortschnoj with Viktor Korchnoi, it will appear correct on CG, but the actual PGN will still say <Fiktor Cortschnoj>. It may look like we make a lot of corrections here on CG, but we're still 'selling' a lot of crap in the PGNs.

I've played through a few chess960 (aka FischerRandom) games from here: World Fischer Random (2022) (Including both K-side and Q-side castling, which can be sometimes weird-looking) <pgn4web> also passes the null-move test: J Brown vs Staunton, 1841 So far as I know, <Olga> fails both of these tests. Also, was the "jerky" move animation ever fixed for <Olga>? Was that just on mobile - I don't use it too much. Side issue for the mobile version of both - The move buttons are awful close to the move list. I often seem to accidentally lose my place in a game when just trying to make a move forward by firing off a move in the movelist. (I must have thick fingers?!)

Nov-18-22		stone free or die: <pete> fix Olga first (if possible) then you don't have to do the pgn4web. There aren't many null-move games yet (<CG> used a FEN kludge, skipping the unanswered first move, for a long time). Ultimately it would be nice to automatically find these "kludge" games and fix 'em up. That would be a useful programming task (I think).
