Honza Cervenka: White should have tried 11.Nbd6+ Kf8 12.Qh5 Nd8 13.Nxg7 Bxe3 14.Nxe6+. Trading of Bishops loses the time.
Jun-12-03  drukenknight: maybe better is 9 Na4 as in this game:

Phony Benoni: Astonishing how quickly White's game collapses. As <Honza> points out, 11.Bxc5 loses time by allowing Black's ♘d7 to come into play and strike a decisive blow.
Feb-14-14  cramie10: Interestingly I was just looking at this in Batsfords and thought that their analysis was incorrect. I thought white must be better after 12.Nbd6+ but no!
Feb-15-14  RookFile: Looks like a typical Korchnoi win with black. He baits his opponent into attacking and is ready with a lethal counter-punch.
Feb-15-14  SpiritedReposte: Calm, cool defense by Korchnoi. It is so discouraging to see threats rebuked like this!

Why?

I find it inspirational, actually. Korchnoi's cool-headed grit has nearly no match.

offramp: I reckon Huebner has a little shrine to Korchnoi in his house with candles and incense and garlands of flowers and bansuri music and photographs.

MissScarlett: No offence, but I reckon its more likely a collage of nubile men.
Apr-02-21  SpiritedReposte: <Fusilli> Meaning when played against you! You think you have an initiative and your opponent just calmly defeats one after another. It can be demoralizing. No doubt great game by Korchnoi.
