Jan-14-09  Nietzowitsch: <18 ... Rc6!> At least one good move!
Jan-15-09  bunbun: As a rule this is a routine move. But here it is strikingly original and as such occupies a place in the treasury of my intellectual property

Hilarious

Jan-17-09  WhiteRook48: Nimzowitsch overprotects a lot. What if he decides to overprotect a1?
Jan-31-09  WhiteRook48: 2 h4! is amazing and I would not have guessed it was a good move
Feb-01-09  Morphyisgod: Can anyone explain to me how over-protection is equivlent to victory, or the logic behind the concept of over-protection?
Feb-01-09  VaselineTopLove: Systemsson? Sounds like he got a good beating by his daddy who wrote 'My System'...
Feb-01-09  WhiteRook48: crazy overprotection of e5
Feb-01-09  laskereshevsky: 1.♙f3!..2.♔f2!!

And the victory for the white is just a matter of technique....

As Aron Nimtzovitch could had explain to us:

"The white ♔ is close to the center, more then the black's one, and if the black pieces conductor's is that kind of player who cant resist to follow the old school's play (like whome all that players who didn't yet read my books!),

he will castle (classically stereotip mediocre's play!..), making much more worst his position in wiev of the forthcoming finale....

all what the white have to do is to change much more pieces as is possible, and the game is won!

Thanks to our better positonal judment we were able to create an unique colossal plane from the opening to the finale,....

this is the real chess!, any kind of deviations from the true plane...

no exotical but useless stuff like: attack , matting the king, combinations etc....

the tryumph of the positional judment!, as i already explaned in my books (but maybe is better to call it works of art...) MY SISTEM and THE PRAXIS OF MY SISTEM!.... "

Feb-06-09  WhiteRook48: and white will proceed to overprotect e3
Feb-26-09  WhiteRook48: is he called Systemsson because he fell to "My System?"
Feb-27-09  just a kid: This is funny.
Apr-01-09  dumbgai: Much better than last year's April Fool's game (the uninteresting 3-move mate created by Schiller).
Apr-01-09  JohnTal: Too bad to rain on Nimzo's nonsense, but after White's 21st - Systemsson spoils the game with:

21...Qb1+, 22 Nc1 ...Rc1+
23 Nc1 ...Ba4+, 24 Kd2 ... Qc2#

Or if Nimzo plays 22 Kd2 ... Qc2#

Of course, it's all in good humor - but to me, Nimzo was a very overrated player.

Apr-01-09  zooter: nice and quite funny!
Apr-01-09  AgentRgent: <JohnTal: Too bad to rain on Nimzo's nonsense> Nimzowitsch had nothing to do with this game, it was flattering satire composed by Hans Kmoch

<but to me, Nimzo was a very overrated player.> You have the right to your opinion...even if it's completely wrong. ;-)

Apr-01-09  Dr. J: Today's game and annotations bear a surprising similarity to Kasparov vs Ivanchuk, 1995 and Keene's annotations, despite the fact that the latter is entirely real.
Apr-01-09  Dr. J: <JohnTal: ... but to me, Nimzo was a very overrated player.>

<AgentRegentYou have the right to your opinion...even if it's completely wrong.>

Actually, GM Kevin Spraggett agrees with <JohnTal>, but he's not infallible. As proof: he once told me I could become a strong player.

Apr-01-09  AgentRgent: <Dr. J: Actually, GM Kevin Spraggett agrees with <JohnTal>, but he's not infallible. As proof: he once told me I could become a strong player.> Players far stronger than GM Spraggett (among them Bent Larsen) agree with me, who do you trust more? ;-)
Apr-01-09  AgentRgent: <patzer2: I wonder if Nimzo meant to leave so many missed wins by Black in this weird composition> Sorry to repeat myself but:

Nimzowitsch had nothing to do with this game, it was flattering satire composed by Hans Kmoch.

Apr-01-09  patzer2: <AgentRgent> Thanks for the correction. When I see 10 pages or more of posting, I tend to ignore all of it.
Apr-01-09  dovif: What if 23 ...BG7
Apr-01-09  Morten: Perfect choice for Game of the Day on 1 April.

I wonder how Nimzo took the irony - I understand that he was not famous for his sense of humour.

Apr-01-09  arsen387: The weirdest game I've ever seen. Fascintaing is the white K's poistion, bare but invulnerable! Nimzowitch was a very original player
Apr-01-09  FHBradley: "Kmoch admired and esteemed Nimzovich as a great player and a profound and original thinking. Yet he could not help poking sly fun at Nimzovich’s often pompous and bombastic manner. Luckily this rollicking parody is so good-natured, with a few grains of sense artfully concealed in a farrago of nonsense, that Nimzovich expressed himself as vastly amused by it." From Edward Winter's Chess Notes, Item no. 4772 http://www.chesshistory.com/winter/...
Apr-01-09  musicmanTRIBALx: what i find most interesting is nimzo's ridiculous self-indulgence
