Mar-11-04 | | skeet: There sure are a lot of humorous names in the database. |
Mar-11-04 | | Dillinger: I would like to see a picture of Beer. |

 | | tamar: Pitcher of beer, no that's not allowed on this site. |
Mar-11-04 | | Phoenix: Bottoms up! |
Mar-11-04 | | mdorothy: You guys are makin me thirsty. |
Aug-26-04 | | AdrianP: I'm celebrating my 1000th Kibitz here. |
Aug-26-04 | | PinkPanther: <AdrianP>
Ok..... |
Aug-26-04 | | Akavall: <AdrianP> LOL |
Aug-26-04 | | Anubis33: Doubtless Beer was "hopping" mad that he only brew, I mean drew, Carter. |
Aug-26-04 | | e4Newman: I think beer is an appropriate way to celebrate one's 1000th kibitz! A malty pilsner, or hoppy ale. |
Aug-26-04 | | mack: I'm a member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and I play chess. How sad am I? |
Sep-03-04 | | tomh72000: <mack> My father is also a member of CAMRA, and he plays chess too. And you aren't sad, you just like good ale. |
Sep-03-04 | | Hektor: (A little whimsy here) I'm not suprised that he decided to avoid playing the Scotch defence, since liquer before beer never fear, but beer before liquer... |
Sep-06-04 | | mack: Very reassuring <tomh72000>. I am very passionate about real ale indeed; just cannot see the point in buying bloody Stella or whathaveyou. |
Sep-06-04 | | tomh72000: Stella is a disgrace. |
Sep-20-04 | | Knight13: Beer? Dose he have a last name? |
Sep-26-04 | | Jack Rabbit: <Knight13>: Maybe his first name is Bud. If he had played a Scotch Opening, perhaps we might suspect it's really Belhaven or MacEwan. |

 | | cu8sfan: Cheers to y'all! The next round's on me! Thanks <percyblakeney> for pointing me to the Kibitzer's Pub to celebrate! (-: A toast!
To <chessgames.com> for making this the best site in cyberspace! To all my kibitzing friends for giving me that warm and cuddly feeling the internet often lacks! To chess for being such a great game that unites us all! *snif* I promissed I wouldn't cry... *snif*
And finally:
To the Cubs, may they finally win the World Series again! |
Oct-07-04 | | percyblakeney: Cheers, and good luck to that team in that strange sport you like. :) |

 | | tpstar: Following the fine tradition set by <AdrianP>, I am celebrating my 1000th Kibitz here with a Beer. After this week, I could use one. And honoring the great example set by <iron maiden>, I am dedicating my 1000th Kibitz to <chessgames.com> for providing this excellent site with the Daily Puzzle, the Opening Explorer, the Game of the Day featuring the Daily Pun (getting better all the time) and especially the priceless kibitzing from the group. Thanks everyone! I'll play by the rules
Any cookie recipes?
They'll go on my page |

Oct-08-04 | | e4Newman: Hey cubby, I though I noticed you had an avtar adjustment a while back, or was that another kibitzer with a cubs avtar? Good to see young Chuck back. I guess you'll have to wait for next year for your cubs, I'll be rooting for the braves in the meantime. Cheers!! |
Oct-08-04 | | Calchexas: Braves + Post-season = Train Wreck
And I'm a Braves fan, too. It's just pretty much a fact. |
Oct-08-04 | | pawn52: What is the big deal about this page? |
Oct-08-04 | | Pawsome: Baseball is vastly inferior to hockey or soccer as a spectator sport because it's had the serious competitive juice sucked out of it by free agency and the grand US American penchant for SHOWBiz. There's something achingly tedious about watching one team's bankroll compete with another's. Hockey and soccer have been infected with the same virus, but at least their fast pace and almost continuous action is fascinating in and of itself. Underscoring my argument were the baseball venues at the latest olympics in Athens. The US didn't qualify in hardball, yet the games between the Japanese, Cubans, Auzzies and Canadians were brilliant and gripping, hearkening back to the relatively gliz free days of Ted Williams, Sandy Koufax, and a young Henry Aaron. The lesson is obvious: stick a team together with the glue of nationaiist fervour and watch them play beyond their individual and collective abilities to produce sport to revel in. When the local boys from Cienfuegos play their counterparts from Havana you can barely cut the tension with a sharp blade. When you send the best of both those teams to Greece to play the inscrutible Japanese, the tension grows exponentially. As for the Braves vs. the Yanks, well, ho hum. |

 | | cu8sfan: <tpstar> Congratulations! Welcome to the club. <pawn52> <AdrianP> started a tradition here to celebrate the 1000th kibitz with a Beer. <e4Newman> I started my own little tradition to "wear" Cubs gear whenever they're in first place. Guess you won't be seeing that too often. I really thought they could make it again to the playoffs this year... |
