Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-22-08  Karpova: He played in New York Rice tournament in 1916 - an event overwhelmingly won by Capablanca (12.0/13, +11 -0 =2) - where he came in 6th (behind Capablanca, Janowski, Kostic, Kupchik and Chajes) with 7.5 points and a score of +5 -3 =5.

But one of his draws was one of the two draws Capablanca conceded. A nice success!
